Has anyone on here ridden a bamboo bike? That one does look fantastic and I'd be interested to know how they ride. Is it a practical material for bike frames. It would be nice to own one just for the interest it would generate, a bit like my clubmate when he had a Kirk - every cyclist at cafes etc. we saw would ask about it.

It would have to be one of these with SR. Saw a couple in the Bike Shed in Exeter the other day and wow, they're beautiful:

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

Saw this is the Bike Shed too, it is stunning, the only modern Bianchi I like. Not on my dream bike list but certainly a stunner.

I like (and own) modern carbon bikes but as I age my appreciation for high quality steel grows. Loving the work of Feather bikes, the lug detail is awesome. But I'm also a fan of English Cycles clean lines and although Lugs look awesome when done right there is something about a well finished fillet braze that I love. Probably because I could never do it that well myself.

  • I want something stealthy and light. I'm not a big Italian exotica fan so here is mine.
Planet X only £2k with SRAM red and upgraded wheels as in the photo

I think the wheels look so good on that bike because of the white frame and black writing. Great looking bike dude and I imagine heads will turn

    WTF happened to that!?

I dont know enough about bicycle components to have a dream bike as such. The 1 I have now is set up in such a way that the gears work perfectly, the fit is perfect and theres no odd sounds from any of the parts. I also like the colour scheme. The only thing I could ask for more of is less weight that more expensive bikes have.

Laugh at me if you want, but this is my first race bike (2005, t-mobile era) which I've cherished since.
It's called Pink Boy Dream, hence the listing in this thread.

It's a great city bike (with 51-18 gear) that I (almost) use more than my real road racer (since that one is fancy and has tubs). 5.000k on this one vs 6.000k on the other last year!
