Hey guys
Just looking at this challenge on Strava. People are nearing 1000miles now since the start of Jan (thats 9 days!)
I know a lot of them are in Australia and other warmer, sunnier countries but even still, how is this possible!?
Im currently in 14,417th place with a total of 76miles! lol

There are some right Strava nutters out there who seem to do nothing in their lives but ride a bike.... . and 3790th currently and the first sane person...0
-
It's not a race0
-
9,570th with 115mi
There are some mental people on there :shock:0 -
I've done 98mi. I can't remember what place I am though.
My target was 200 miles for this month (accounting for weather and college), but seeing as I did 98 miles within the first week I think I can increase that a bit
Road - Dolan Preffisio
MTB - On-One Inbred
I have no idea what's going on here.0 -
Started a friday, 215 so far. I wish I had as much time as some of those guys to ride though.0
-
Knocked down by a nasty flu on New Year's Day, I've not even done 100 miles yet. Also the weather is crap, and as I refuse to ride in the rain, I think 300 miles for Jan is looking doubtful.....0

started on 2 Jan

140 miles since sunday and feeling it a littleSpecialized S Works SL2 . Campagnolo Record 11spd. rolling on Campag Zonda wheels

Number one position has done 7,260 miles apparently, or put another way has sustained 33mph for last week and bit, without stopping.0
-
Planned to do 200 miles, up to 147 since Sunday so gonna go for the 400.0
-
I'm trying to do over 300 miles in January.
I've managed 3 rides since New Year totaling 130miles0 -
I've dropped down to 1082 with 289 done. I need to get out more0
-
i'm about 8000th I think.. would be higher if I hadn't mucked up my first ride with a new Garmin (which consequently is dated as two days earlier).0
-
I just checked, and I'm 663/2597 in the fatties category
Or even better, 12th in my country out of 240 -
How are you guys seeing this? Do you subscribe? I've only got an app on my phone. Done 126 miles so far0
-
You guys do know there is a bikeradar strava club?0
-
131 here and getting anxious because I've not been out today! The leading guy in my 'old git's age category has done over 700 already which is kind of surreal. Do these guys have nothing better to do with their lives?
It is a great incentive to get out and do some miles in January though so I won't knock it ...0 -
Completed the Rapha festive 500. Aiming for base 200 in this one as it's a busy month.0
-
398 miles and feeling buggered! I signed up as motivation to help lose my Xmas excesses and to help improve my base fitness with the target to hit the new season running as it were.My missus has been very understanding, though a shopping trip might be in the offing very soon to help keep her onside!0
-
21018 th place but i am not last with 7500 behind me0
-
Managed 85 so far. Don't know my position, but I'd wager it's a number that would take a while to write out!
Going on a big one on Sunday though so should get well into the tonne for January. I'm just pleased to have the warm(ish) weather the past week or so! Makes riding a lot more pelasant!Hills are like half life - they wait until you're 50% recovered from one before hitting you in the face with the next.

Well I was in the top 200 on Sunday, but I missed out on my training ride on Monday due to work commitments. Now dropped down to 410th...."You only need two tools: WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape"0
-
1864 place....can see that slipping even further down now im back at work0
-
Only been out once, 20,818th at the moment - haha! Aiming for 200 for the month really.. finding it hard to get time in the saddle at the moment. Will get out on Sunday if not the rest of the week.0
-
Yeah - I'm in the top 10,000. I'm currently 9,591. Get in!0
-
Just moved up 2348 places, due to the ride last night.
Am now 11864/25608 with 106 miles on the clock.
Hopefully will get into the top 10,000 *sigh*WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

I think the cold/icy weather predicted for the next few days will slow everyone's progress down a bit. I just hope folks are not tempted into taking risks on any icy roads just to bump up their January stats. It's turbo delights for me for the next week, whoopee do.0

I was tempted into quite a few dangerous icy rides in December to hit last year's milage target. I'm not making that mistake again. So if it's icy this weekend, I won't go out. I can always compensate for it in Spring & Summer.0 -
Any pro riders doing it?0
