Why on earth do people post things like this? If you cant think of anything constructive to say in response then surely you would be best not responding.
Why on earth do people whinge like this? Are you a young boy? Time to stop getting so upset and harden the fu*k up perhaps?

    The OP asked this question
Anyone else get this - how do you ensure you get adequate recovery in your training.
To which I answered truthfully. I had a similar problem to him for a short while. Then I decided to, like, you know, do other things with my life. Like go to the cinema, or go visit my family. Get a life, in other words I found something to do with my spare time other than riding a bloody bike, and made the problem go away. Got it you whinging git?

If you had answered like this in the first place you wouldn't have sounded like a smart ar*e - instead you chose 'get a life' which as Soni said, was not helpful.

If you are trying to rival ShutUpLegs on the caustic / sarcastic put down front, you are falling well short.

That said, your post above does resonate a bit - I tend to get a bit obsessive with stuff - so there might be an element of needing to get some time away doing other stuff.

    Cheers for the insights Alex!
    Good point about training camps.

(Quite like the idea of changing to a Regular Rolf instead of Ave Joe)

Do you think I care? Have you not got anything better to do?

There was no need to drag up a comment from ages ago and pollute the thread with it so this poxy, pointless argument ends here.

A rest day would depend on your type of training. For example, If you are in the gym pushing out max reps doing squats (pure strength training) on Monday then you are breaking down the muscle (micro-trauma) and therefore you would need to rest your legs on the Tuesday. The Tuesday is a rest day for your lower limbs so that protein synthesis can take place and rebuild them stronger. However you could do some upper limb stuff instead.

So as I said it depends on your training, if you have smashed yourself up some hills then I would vary your training the next day and don't repeat the same thing the next day. Do something different instead, there is nothing worse than the same routine when training for the mind and body. Vary and challenge instead.
