its obvious BS, as anyone who drives a performance car is an entusiast, thus watches motorsport of sometime and would watch top gear.

I am an enthusiast, didn't you notice my username or don't you know what a Lotus 49 is? I have followed F1 since I was a little boy and watch almost every race on iPlayer. Top Gear is another matter entirely and hardly the measure of a true enthusiast.0 -

No, it is as I bought it. Also, I am a Chartered Accountant in my 40s - hardly chav material.0 -
Bit boring for a mid life crisis car isn't it? Would she not let you get anything a bit more sporty?

Whilst we are having a willy waving contest, my Audi would 'rinse' both, straight line, on a track, anywhere you like however I'd rather ride my bike, and would fancy that against any accountant chav through any townOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -

Sorry, who was it that was going to offer to race?
I haven't boasted about anything or engaged in any willy waving. I was merely correcting the racist kicker's assertion that I drive a Nova. Furthermore, I have not stooped to insulting my fellow cyclists and nor do I intend to start doing so.0 -

I had to thump the roof of a car on my way thru Gravesend one time as he was pushing me into a really high kerb. He stopped and 5 of the scariest Eastern European fellas got out of the car, realised what the score was, apologised, all of them pointed and laughed at me then went off.
I think the cyclist in the video did the right thing, defused a potentially bad situation and thankfully no harm done.I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast, but I'm intercontinental when I eat French toast...0 -
Mind you, if it was Captainlip, he would have assaulted him on the race card and then confess he made the whole thing up.......... :PI don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast, but I'm intercontinental when I eat French toast...0

Backing up Lotus49 here. I too have a Subaru - Legacy SpecB with a little bit of 'warming' done to it and can attest it'll blow away most non RS Audis.....0

Well iv had it nearly a year and driven a few track days with it so I'm not overestimating it, it's remapped to nearly 500 brake so I'm fairly confident. And tbh I'd bet the misses A7 against the scooby in a straight line. Iv driven the sti's and they really arnt all thatOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
So it's not the R8, it's one of the front heavy oversteer beasts? In that case I'd put my money on a Scooby with similar power/weight around a track, although they're pretty oversteer heavy as standard too.
Edit to add: my last car was a girly MX5 and I stuck it in a ditch when it was icy in January, so don't worry about me dissing yo whip.0 -
Cars. Woo. Anyways i think the driver was wrong as i don't think your supposed to pull into a space that a cyclist is riding in as they may die. As for banging on the car. I think that as a driver they should expect it in that situation and after all we aren't really going to do much damage are we? My worst encounters are buses that pull up next to you then instantly forget you and squeeeeeeze in. I used to kick them but i am clipped in these days. A good shout is about as loud as i can get as my dinky bell is barely audible in traffic. Cars are generally much more aware IMO. And yeah he did look like he was on something. It suprising it didnt get to violence even with the camera.Specialized Roubaix Sport Comp 2013

I was referring to an earlier post, there was no offer of a race, and if your not boasting why did you feel the need to state you bought the car from new? As if it was some kind of achievement?
But your right this has all got a bit my dad is harder than your dad, so lets just leave it at this -
Not all Audi drivers are c0cks!!

The Audi's driving was pretty bad. The excessive hooting on the horn and the cutting him up. I was very surprised he reasoned and talked fairly calmly!
Well done to the cyclist!0 -

Most performance cars do one or the other, but the rs5 tends to do a bit of both (understeer on the way in and oversteer on the way out) like most AWD, I know your not ragging on my car it's fine, tbh it's more about the driver when the cars have similar output (not that these cars do 500vs300bhp?)One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -

By which I take it that you are not an enthusiast.
I have updated my profile to use the avatar that I use on almost all the forums of which I am a member so you can see a (rather small) picture of the most beautiful and one of the most revolutionary racing cars ever built.
Colin Chapman, I take my hat off to you.0 -
Simple, if the ecar is close enough to bang the roof he's too close, should have turned off the camera and smacked the driver !!0

wow cyclist with helmet cam gets in to dispute shocker! wow, who'd have thunk it!
cyclist should have just ceded to the car and slowed down to let him overtake...sure that wouldnt be technically right but the road layout was a nightmare for non bus lane users, and a bit of common sense, from the 'i must exert my equal rights on the road at whatever cost helmet cam warrior' would have avoided the situation.
captainlip, you thought wiggo was going to kick helmet off his bike? you would know about that kind of thing wouldnt you....!!
i agree i think wiggo was looking fo trouble when he got out, as the dangerous cutting up to make helmet stop suggests but he was a weasly fella (probably a cracking climber) and helmet looked quite large and the cam probably stopped wiggo venting his spleen.
likewise that helmet sounded like a knob with his dreary voice (seems most of the helmet cam warriors sound odd, either nasally or dreary mostly like ed miliband) again maybe its the type of people who like getting into trouble with there cams and posting it on the net....(another point why was this even uploaded, a complete non incident)
mercs p all over audis anyway
