Watching some Labour Party woman on the Daily Politics trying to answer Jo Coburn's question about how much it would cost to renationalise the Water companies. She had no idea but that it didn't matter because after 10 years it would be paid off and thwn it would become an asset. Tremendous stuff!

Aren't they saying something similar about the railways - the profits will pay off the amount they'd need to borrow? Aren't most of the railways in the UK subsidised?

Anyway, this amused me. It shouldn't, it's an outrage:

Getting back to the trivial..... Being in rented accommodation and finding out the a simple Bialetti Moka proves function over design wins in the long run.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Oh, I couldn't live without my stove top. I use it every day.
But what it has to do with rented accommodation, I have no idea.

I see. We took our Bialetti to Catalunya, Lisbon and the Algarve. ...and there were Lavazza one's at all 3 locations.
No holiday accommodation that we have been to in the UK has had stove top coffee makers so far.

I was told by an Italian to never cook dish's with tomato in them in Aluminium pots due to the acidity of tomatoes.
But they make coffee in Aluminium stove tops?!

I’m not in the UK, and why would you put tomatoes in your Moka?
Next time I’ll get a stainless one but can’t say I’ve noticed any effects.

No one can accuse me of being fickle.
Yes, you must maintain consistency. You must. It's very important to you (obviously).
    Dunno why.

A "visual test" and a "personal judgment"? These are truly gifted people if they can see carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxides.

It was a challenge set, which I have tried to live down to. A challenge set by yourself. If only everyone else could be so succinct.

While waiting for a bus, observing the young lady on her way past, about 5'3" and about 5'3" outfront as well. Fair made my day.

Careful with that sort of thing Loon, there'll be a snowflake along anytime soon to take offence on her behalf.

    :D

Judging by aforementioned young lady's demeanour and dress, Out and Proud would be appropriate.

Surprised you managed not to grope her, she was clearly asking for it****

*Sarcasm, lots of sarcasm. Half heartedly calling you out for sexism but in a joking way so I'm not accused of being a snowflake

Sexism? Groping? Hardly. All I said to here was "'ere, careful luv, you could have had my eye out with one of them".

A pretty girl certainly cheers me up, but I'd never describe them as trivial.
Used to see a pretty girl riding to work in the opposite direction through Bushy Park every day up until a couple of years ago. We'd smile as we passed, then it graduated to a hello, then after a suitable period of time we'd even have brief conversations if we happened to meet at the gate. Then all of a sudden she stopped and I've not seen her since. Certainly used to brighten my ride to work.

Sounds like the first 10 minutes of the sort of film I don't like. Unless she was abducted by the russians and you have to find out why for some reason...

Hiding is most likely, unless she’s a teacher. She was within 10 years of my age, not a young girl.
