Aaahhhh - lovely innit....
As an aside, they are all now beating 7 bells out of each other upstairs instead of cleaning their teeth ready for bed, so normal service resumed.....
It's funny how the whole conception of 'normal service' changes when you're a parent.
I'm watching pre-recorded Durrells, so don't spoil it.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

It's alright - Margot doesn't lezz up with Mrs D until the end of tonight's episode.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Light rain this morning. On the back lawn, as I was doing my modern man bit of washing up, a Starling fledgeling is getting fed by parent who is smaller than fat fledgeling on the lawn. Fluffing and wiggling his feathers and hopping around after parent eagerly.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Hmmm... I much prefer the directness and feel of my Record 10 than the Record 11.
The Record 10 is now 7 years old, the 11, 4 years old. The R10 is still better. I'm in half a mind to buy a NOS R10 gruppo and flog the 11. I think I could just about cover it. The only downside, is finding a 10 speed cassette with a 27 cog on it.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

No I have seen that (on TV). As soon as I saw it, I started to dislike Cuckoo's. They're lazy, gits and they subordinate the care of their children to some poor, over worked bird who has to feed this mammoth chick that dwarfs them and who also chucked the other eggs out of the nest or ate them.
If I had my way it would be "Cuc..." BANG, supper.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

The Hound, asleep next to me on the couch, has just finished his dream about chasing things (I gather it was by the furious running movements of the legs) and has now woken up and is panting like he has just finished chasing things.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Did you whisper in his ear "Catch it. catch it. catch it. Good boy, you can do it...". I used to. Sometimes he would get himself into quite a fever and bark. The bark would wake himself up. Then he would look around, bleary eyed and wondering just what happened.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Out for a ride this morning and decided to add an extra 2km to the route through a industrial estate.
Set up a Strava section for this loop and it's a great feeling to discover that no one else has used this loop and I've got the KOM all to myself0 -

Inflation obliterating 18% pay rise . (Technically it's an increase in shift allowance for doing a 4 on, 4 off 12 hour shift rotation, but meh!!!)0
