  • The look on my commercial manager's face when i pointed out to him that he made a fuck up last week to the tune of about 8 grand and it's too late to do anything about it.

He is universally hated in our (small) office by those above and below him, total w4nker

Looking forward to when our MD comes in later and the sh1t hits the proverbial

Not very, he knows i can't stand him.

He operates by spending his whole working day trying to catch out/find fault with my colleagues and I plus any of our regular suppliers/subcontractors. One of these people who thinks by making others look bad at their job it somehow puts him in a good light. Even our MD (who is a decent bloke) can't stand him.

Fingers crossed he will leave soon, having seen his CV he has never been anywhere for more than about 18 months, he's been here for just over a year now

it's better than i thought, not only has he made the costly fuck up (a 6k account now around 14k and has been signed off by him and paid) but he has seriously pissed off one of our 2 biggest customers today.

Quote from customer's email to said manager

    Lee,

This is the 2nd time you’ve threatened us this week, not something I’m used to from [redacted]

If you feel action is required, do it, don’t let me stop you, threats don’t work with me. If that’s how we’re doing things now, my approach going forward will change accordingly.

If Peter instructed works at Seal, he will be the one to sign them off, I can’t sign something off I don’t know about. Granted outstanding invoices from September isn’t acceptable and I’m sure Peter isn’t deliberately not processing them, a gentle reminder when he gets back next week will do the trick. Also [redacted] is not a [redacted] Homes company, so your legal approach will be with them.

I will call you when I can.

...and but for a few individuals, the forum has been reasonably amicable too. Funny that.

We certainly used to get overexcited over Hazel O'Connor back in the day, but you obviously didn't...

I'm sure you'll not make that mistake again.

    Will you?

Are you suggesting no one should ever protest anything? Or just not protest against things you agree with?

Hmm, a convincing argument. I read the cotton socks part and assumed he was being sarcastic, I was too busy spitting out my vegan, dairy and gluten free falafel sandwich to think straight...

The lovely Mrs Slog saying "do you want a new bike for your birthday".

I've been looking at a few lately and wondering if I can really justify it, but apparently she thinks it will be a good idea, so I have to go with the flow

How many breakfasts serves did that take? I'm just wondering because it would be a useful yardstick. It's the best way forward as the wannabe Mrs Pinno loves her food (oh, and she's as skinny as a rake too).
Just how many would it take to get that Sarto Seta...
