I suppose any situation where you identify a problem and come up with a solution yourself is satisfying.

Yep, I finally sorted out two UPVC doors that had dropped and were driving me nuts. I'd looked up how to do it a few times but could never get it right but finally sussed it out. Only problem is that it now slams even harder everyone the wife or daughter use it, I've given up telling them all they have to do is pull it shut and it will catch almost silently.
  • I fixed the washing machine, was tripping out RCD and I discovered it was heating element. Disconnected that so wash cycle could finish, now to order and replace element.

Can't beat a bit of DIY. Money saved and satisfaction gained.

Thanks for the prompt. Been meaning to fettle the back door for some time and the heat over the weekend seems to have made it droop even more.

Make sure you use plenty of lube as you may find your bike saddle a bit uncomfortable for a few days if you don't.

Happening upon a gang of squirrels in my garden, been gorging on the early drop apples, thinking a family group, adults doing the squawk alarm call, youngsters all over the place. The one in last place on the escape route through the trees eyeballing me eyeballing it, do I go for it, do I... yer good on ye go. Rats with better PR innit.
