I am glad that the world will end by catastrophe on Friday next week. This will end all suffering of people, will provide closure to humanity, will be the will of God and be the death of all flea ridden cnt faced cats.0

Will some hedgehogs be spared so that they may reproduce and hopefully get back to historical numbers?0 -
25mm tyres. First ride in on them this morning. I thought the difference in claimed comfort was overblown, but it seems not0

Well - I don't know about cheering me up - but I find it mildly amusing ...
Joined the facebook group for parents of the new school Little Slowbike will be attending... on there they're complaining about damage to their cars and the congestion at dropoff/pickup ...
Oh - it's soooo tempting to write "Don't take your flippin car then" ....
I do wonder just how many drive because it's more than a 5 minute walk ... Little slowbike will be cutting his commute from 2 miles to less than 1/2 a mile - it'll hardly be worth taking the bike - may walk or use the scooter ....0 -
I have MarketPlace open on Facebook.
It always make me chuckle that people will blank out car reg plates, house numbers and faces from their pics of things they're selling, BUT forget that their profile is available for anyone to see, along with all their personal details.
The older I get, the better I was.0 -

Getting out for a leisurely ride with my son on a very pleasant afternoon between the morning and evening torrential rain today.0

Getting home from work this afternoon and seeing my Australian neighbours have their curtains drawn and they don’t seem to be in the mood for conversation!0

Also the sight of David Warner being taunted by the English supporters with “Warner Warner, tell us the score!”
I’m not in favour of people being belittled for mistakes made for which they have served a punishment, however in the case of the loathsome Warner I’m willing to make an exception!0 -

However, it might not cure the root problem. For that, I recommend this:

Middle aged men on dress down Friday. A combination of skinny legs, beer belly, skinny jeans and a too small t-shirt. The Gru look is not a good one.The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Rescuing a Partridge Family.
Not that one. Driving to a chiro appt this morning, woke up too late to ride there, country road but busy, couple of birds in middle of the road ahead, pigeons?, no too brown coloured, why are they not flying away? Closer see 2 adult partridges plus 2 tiny balls of fluff chicks, adults in full panic mode, crouching wings fluttering... I stopped opposite them, and fortunately the car coming the other way responded to my signalling to stop as well.
Family made it safely across onto the verge and into the hedge. My good deed done for today.0 -
Watching this mornings news and being told about the best weekend of sport ever. Cheered me up as I only watch cycling, so had dodged the rest of the sport by spending most of the weekend outside doing things!0

Awesome - and that should cheer most of us up. Except Coopster as it sounds like they were Red Legged Partridges and those are immigrants. He would have preferred you to flatten them.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Alan Turing to appear on £50 note.0

Rolf F wrote:Robert88 wrote:Alan Turing to appear on £50 note.
I don't think I've ever seen a current £50 note so I'm not sure what to make of Turing appearing on the new one. I doubt I'll ever see one of those either!
Can't remember even using a fiver lately. I'm a big fan of cashless, coins are so dark ages. I do carry a tenner on bike rides mind but last time I tried a fifty they looked at me a bit funny, like..
The one on the left, I think, was called Steveo, Rick Chasey is keeping out of shot.0 -
