They reckoned it's less effort to go to the outside one than back up the stairs to the luxurious indoor one :)

Why does he feel the need to lock the outside lav?

In case someone lifts his cistern. If he reported the theft to the police, they could come and have a look but they wouldn't have anything to go on.

It's much more expensive in the House of Lords.

Turning up at a 4 mile running race last night with little expectation of a decent run (by my standards) given the relatively short time since my marathon and having spent 9 hours driving only getting there with 15 minutes to spare, deciding to give it a bit of a go anyway and ending up knocking just under 2.5 minutes off my PB. It doesn't sound a huge amount but if I improved my marathon PB by the same percentage it would equate to a 30 minute improvement. Just running in the countryside on a beautiful evening after being stuck in the car for 9 hours cheered me up so this was a real bonus and I even smashed my 5k PB in the process.

Riding home on the cycle path on warmer month evenings. It's a mixture of annoyance at the overcrowding and joyful delight from the constant stream of fantastic tits coming towards me. :o:D

Especially when you see a pair of them.

When your expenses haven't been paid for a while and they start mounting up into quite a substantial sum, feels like an impromptu bonus when they get paid.

It does. Except afterwards you realise you've been giving your employer an interest free loan.

Sorry, should probably stick that on the other thread.

The mileage rate helps though, I haven't directly paid out as much as I'll get back.

    Good for you!
Probably a trivial amount for others.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    The England cricket team

Pakistan are posting scores that five or ten years ago would have been unbeatable but England are overhauling them with almost contemptuous ease! Even when they lose several wickets in a short time it’s as if another player will be saying “don’t worry, I’ll take care of things today!”

It’s a bit of a golden period, it won’t last forever of course, but bloody hell I’m enjoying it while it lasts.

Iceland's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest

Definitely some channelling of Keith Flint going on there!

That the Eurovision is over for another year cheers me up.

    Madonna's performance at Eurovision.

    Made me laugh at least.

So bad it was good. How did she have such a stellar career?

I'm not on about her looks, I'm talking about her sh1t voice which she's always had when singing live. Mind you, if you've relied heavily on your image and shock value to compensate for your terrible vocals then it's even more tragic when you're 60 and you've turned yourself into the double of Joecelyn Wildenstein in a series of failed cosmetic surgeries in desperate attempts to cling onto your looks.

Going for a run just now with my 17 yo kid and having to hang back a bit so she could keep up puffing and panting while I wasn't really breaking a sweat :) Not sure whether that says more about her or me, mind.

One year on from my last PB at Parkrun I'm still slightly ahead of my student son despite the 30 yr age gap. Mainly because he was nursing a broken arm for most of the time since last summer.

But we do have to celebrate these victories while they last.

Had the same with mine a couple of years ago while she was doing A level PE. Obviously I never mention how she couldn't keep up with her slightly over-weight, middle aged father on a short run since!
