    Walk?
    Don't be silly. 😉

I know, it would have been maybe 100m to the school gates instead of the 70-80m from where it was deemed acceptable to block the road to drop them off.
Not just parents there are some veryentitled people driving cars who park as close as possible to their destination.

The high st near us is closed for gas works at the moment so the small road we walk down to school is seeing more traffic, and all in a hurry. Part of it is 1 way and a guy shot down it the wrong way this week.

He actually stopped his car to argue with me about why I looked annoyed at him.

Obviously in too much of a rush to go around but not too much of a rush for a chat.

Brian Clough (yes, The) used to own a newsagents not far from the City ground on a busy high street.
One day, when working my Saturday job on the same high street, he just stopped his car in the road opposite his shop, got out and walked into his shop leaving his car in the middle of the lane.

    He did indeed.
Definitely a character. No staged press conference nonsense or political answers.

Which is why the best English manager was never the England manager.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Have often subscribed to the theory that being really really good at your job gives people far to much leeway to act like a d!ck, which would otherwise not be tolerated.

    I wouldn’t disagree.
But conversely, he was of his time but even for that time he pushed boundaries. But the current ‘professional sports press conference’ where platitudes are regurgitated achieves little.

At least Bill Bellicheck uses scowling and grunting to convey all the stuff he can’t say.

I get your point but this was a time when he punched one of his own fans for running on the pitch. Rather than whining to the media and police the punchee went on the TV to apologise to Mr Clough for running on his pitch

I guess the rozzers were more lenient then.

Klopp is a big character who says what he thinks but he's also a good bloke with it, it's not either or.

    Would you accept great leader?

If not, you’re just exhibiting bias to the fact it was 40 odd years ago.

He can be the greatest football coach, whatever, I just don't buy into great man history, regardless of who and when.

He marched with the miners and never forgot where he came from. He was a great man and the greatest English football manager of all time.

Back to back European Cups when you either had to be champions of your league or the holders. Two leg ties and straight knock out. We’ll never see his like again.
