Yeah but it's extremely easy to pass cyclists if you aren't completely inept, caravans/lorries/tractors are a much longer and more annoying road block. At least they are on fast Scottish roads anyway

I can't remember exactly, but I think it was an Orthodox Jew who wrapped himself in plastic either in case the plane flew over a cemetery, or because he was sitting too close to a woman.

Should Wiggo's be in fiction then? ;)

Too far to cycle from 796 to 920 or did you need a ladder?

That cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' as used in a John Lewis christmas ad was rather annoying...

Leave her alone though, she's had some tough times, what with nutter stalker, miscarriage, stillbirth, not good.

Chapeau cycling clothing. The bike shop by my office stocks it, and they had some cheap stuff. I can't get on with the stupid hat logo, and the name is a bit gauche too. They just give the impression they've been set up by a bunch of cynics to capitalise on the UK cycling boom... Or maybe that's just me being a cynic...

Plugging in a USB device to a different port and having to wait AGAIN whilst it updates the drivers for this new device. Windows, obviously.

She 'retired' and then came back. that annoyed the hell out of me

I don't like the way she came onto some chat shows etc and talked down to presenters as if she is some sort of musical genius. She's a fairly mediocre singer who got lucky, which of course is in no way connected to her father being in 'show business'.

My wife being ill. She'll make more fuss in one day about having a cold than I did in 3 months when I had a broken leg. If she ever uses the term "man flu" with me, it's straight down to the divorce courts.

Food packaging with a film lid that when you try to peel it back it just breaks off around the edge leaving it sealed as tight as it was before.

And then results in burnt fingers as you try to rip it open.

I don't dispute that, but strength wouldn't help in this case. The problem is the glue is much stronger than the film, so the film gives way before the glue.
But Bomp is right food packaging generally, in fact most packaging. Rare to see well thought out recycled and recyclable packaging that isn't vastly over the top. I argue this at work, we have brake hoses shipped to us individually packed in cardboard boxes. There is no need for them to be in a box, utterly wasteful. But now we are on to the amount of rubbish we generate and that is far from trivial...

It is quite silly but I get the feeling they have a sense of humour about it, reminds me of the willy finder stuff just less outrageous. I bought the GF two of their jerseys because they were selling them off for £17 each, seems good enough but she never rides so it was pointless

    Maybe not trivial, but....

Yoofs throwing f*cking fireworks about the place. Walking down the high street on sat night some little f*cker in a gang of little f*ckers threw a banger at a group of lasses walking 100m behind us. All balaclava'd/hoodied up to the max.

Luckily no one hurt but so completely out of order, deserve to be strung up by the balls.

Heart is worse, they seemingly have a playlist of about seven songs!! But still my wife and daughter insist on listening to it when I'm driving the car.

On a similar note.. whenever I go to a boozique for a bottle of wine, they insist on using not one, but *two* bags. First it goes into a plain brown paper bag, as if that's the stylish accessory you must have to turn up at someone's place for a soiree or something, then put that in a plastic bag to you can safely carry it the 20 yards to the car.

If the bags were all branded with logos advertising the store I'd at least assume they were taking it as a marketing opportunity, but they always use unmarked ones. Yes the bags are recyclable, but why use them in the first place? When you say "no bags thanks", they give you that look that says "oh right, you want to drink it before you get back to the car, eh?"
