I'm a newbie - am I allowed to tag along?

Thursday 15th would work for me. West End possibly?

As the date has been chosen, I've closed the poll, so no more votes please.

Suggested venues so far include Shoreditch, West End and Liverpool St which probably means we should pick somewhere like Holborn. Square Pig, Holborn?

Ah shame - its the evening before option expiry that day so will be difficult. Will try and pop by for an hour though. Shoreditch/Liv pl st will work as they are close - there is a place called 'Light Bar' in Shoreditch which is pretty spacious so easy for a larger group to chat. I've never had food there so can't vouch for that. They have a room upstairs which you can make reservatrions for groups - when I was there we were amoung several groups of 10 or so. I think we had to pay the odd amount of 2GBP entry fee to that part. Not sure if that is still available though.

How about LMNH on Old St? We can reserve a space there for free and it's supporting a local cycling related business.

Might be a bit tight - seating wise; plus, drinks are quite expensive... I know it's cycling unrelated and a bit uncool, but there's a Wetherspoons a bit further down Old St (and closer to tube) with bags of space up the back. It's got windows all the way down the side which will mean people can keep an eye on their bikes if they've cycled.

Call me a maybe for now, depends on childcare situation and the whims of my customers unfortunately.

You'll be pleased to know that If I do make it I won't be wearing lycra.

What exactly is this new job you have? I'd have thought a suit was the norm in the City!

I'm happy to kick things off with the story of how I ended up in A&E after the BR Xmas drinks last year....

No consensus on a venue yet then?

Look mum no hands is the venue unless anyone can provide a practical reason as to why not.

    Superb... walking distance for me!

If we do pack out LMNH's the Spoons is only down the road then the William Blake pub which is just 20 yards further.

I may have missed this but is this 15th of Dec or 15th of Nov?:P

Indeed. It's full of the people I've been sneering about in another thread.

There's two of those reasons you were looking for.

Somewhere else would make it easier to meet for many.

I'm hoping to make it, but unsure. I'll be the one with a cold chin and silly mid-month tache

    Sorry to hear that mate.

Feel free to PM a few of us if you fancy going out another day.

I'm unlikely to be modelling the finest lycra now my commuter got f*cked by a moped. WIll be a little later too - around 8ish.

    Sad times.

Likely to turn up a little later. Say around 7.30 - 8.

Won't be in lycra either after my bike got taken out by a moped.
