But Tiernan-Locke would have been delighted when the Konig came across as it meant he had someone to help maintain the gap. who hadn't been in the break all day so was relatively fresh, and wasn't a threat on GC.
The situation benefitted them both.0 -

I think the thing that Frenchie didnt like was that Koenig wouldnt help out much till the last 2km...0 -

Sure. Except he didnt until the last cpl km. JTL gestured and looked around many times to get him through.Contador is the Greatest0 -
I actually got to watch this stage! Found a nice bar with some great "own brew" beer (and vodka....ahem...) which had it on!
If JTL was riding for yello...erm...gold, then Konig did exactly the right thing really. Plus I'm not sure JTL would never have beaten him in a sprint...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

He shouldn't have reminded him that their respective teams were merging at the end of the year.0 -
Great atmosphere on Caerphilly Mountain with the nutters ftom JIF in their fancy dress feeding Wlesh cakes to the riders. One of the An Post boys didn't realise what they were at first and then sat up whilst someone ran up the hill with one for him Only negative was one spectator got knocked off his bike heading back towards Cardiff and looked in a bad way waiting for the ambulance. Unforyunately it wasn't a surprise as lots of cars were u turning heading to Caerphlly due to queues and cyclists were going quickly down the hill in the opposite direction. Hope they make a full recovery.0

Further to Wiggins' stomach bug....seems that Knees was suffering today with same thing, though did make the start obviously0

Looked OK considering, was in the second bigger group.0

Not a great advert for that pub they all went to!0

Great fun today. Hugely chaotic at the end though. I say close the roads for an hour or so.m
Also can't the police bikes and safety bikes slow the **** down?My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Well a jolly good time was had by all up on Caerphilly Mountan. Big crowds all over the road. I'm surprised no-one ever gets hit. Basso and some guy from United Health got perilously close to me.
JTL looked very good
Edmondson has just set off a lot of DS's radars
Sep Vanmarcke seemed to being enjoying himself near the back, playing to the crowds.
Brailsford was milking the crowd too from the Sky car.
KA Arvesen somehow managed to drive Sky car 2 through the crowds while simultaneously taking photos with his phone.
Magnus Backstedt is twice the size of everyone else.
A dog nearby barked at everyone, particularly Cav. Maybe he smells of sausages.
I look fat on TV. Maybe because I am fat.
Anyway, I took a couple of snaps on my phone, so quality is obviously poor (and it took me a couple of goes to realise how slow the shutter actuation is).
Missed Cav for this one
And I missed JTL for this one. But this is Konig
Caruso, I believe

I have to sort my pics out, used my daughters camera and it took different times to snap each time but should have a few good ones of Cav, JTL and Shirley.0

Nice videos Bender. You might like to know that you were standing right next to me for about an hour and a half. (I'm guessing you were the bloke who cycled up with the guy with grey hair and a NetApp jersey).Twitter: @RichN950 -

Nice photos from all our forum folks. Good video, too. Luv the doggie sound effects.
There was only one place to be today....................on the climb, by the nutters.

So, Bradley had a stomach bug. Heard that one before  It's always post TDF as well. How come stomach bugs never strike during their peak months? Like "Froome dog's" illness that happened for 8 months, but he was fine for the TDF and Vuelta. It sad but I don't trust any of them any more0
