Ouch. I can't believe that your first instinct was to get on here and post about it! Still, if you're silly enough to ask us lot for advice, bring on the pictures. Prize to the best diagnosis?

sue the estate owner for failing to keep control of his deer - I'm being serious - their deer caused you injury and damage to your bike.

  • Hopefully ITB has got off his haunch and gone to A&E.
  • I would suggest NOT turning up to A&E with an orange and a plastic bag... just saying.

That's my fav response yet these are wild deer they don't belong to an estate just farmland, lots of common land and small holdings, tiz the countryside init.

PS. The deer also want wearing a helmet

  • mate I would get to A&E, a few years back I thought I had sprained my wrist, after a month pain was still there, had a couple of xrays and then told I was booked in surgery that afternoon to have a screw fitted into my wrist as one of the small bones was fractured and crumbling!!

Yes but pain dictates the need for relief

Shame you don't have a helmet cam - that would have been one of the few that I would have watched :D

You didn't take my advice for a 10am A&E trip then? The longer you leave it the more boozey A&E will become!

Don't mention booze to him. You know he'll just combine his Tramadol with some real ale, get bladdered, fall over and break something else and end up joining the other boozed up casualties in A&E

Oof, bad luck Boffin hope you recover soon. I'd go with the advice to get ot checked out soon.

This is the worry, a broken scaphiod may not heal at all. If it disintegrates you'll need metal rods put in your wrist to support it.

I would think with a broken wrist, relief is the last thing you'll get

Methinks people who are prone to avoiding seeking medical attention for thier injuries shouldn't be allowed to just keep prescription painkillers lying around :)

I avoid seeking medical attention at all costs, but when a wrist bone is likely broken then off you trot for an x-ray fella. It's not like a finger that you can just tape or a rib you can ignore.

True, I'd heard that slightly limp look to his wrist was an occupational hazard.
