  • Sounds like some bizarre decision making from Sky, sending the TdF winner back to keep your chubby sprinter company.

Was it team orders? No race radios - did the cameras pick up Wiggo going back to team car before going back for Cav?

Looked like his decision; he was chatting away to Knees about what to do. To me it looked like he maybe just didn't fancy it today, so dropped back.

Well it was said it would be a parade around the country for Sky, and today seems to be exactly that for Cav & Wiggo! :D

Regroupment (is that really a word) at the front. 20 or so riders together.
  • I guess we just count on JTL.

  • Basso lighting them up. Must be enjoying this.

JTL crests Gun Hill a few seconds ahead of a couple of chasers (Coppel there I think). Should be a regrouping.
Someone parked badly on the descent there, on the inside of a left-turning bend, blocking half the road!
(Like saunaboy pointed out in the 'enjoying the TOB' thread, the roads could have been better cleared of parked cars)

Demare in the ‘regroupement’ (French word, has an ‘e’ stuck in it).
Demare’s another omission from the French Worlds team, although his mate Delage is in the team – Delage is the bow and Demare the arrow.
Could be Howard against Demare if this lot make it to a sprint finish together.

Most likely a spectator who parked it soon before the rolling rod block.

  • Pro cyclist look behind so often. Good on this guy for getting the gap, dont think he has looked over his shoulder yet. Go hard for home.

Having to watch with the sound off. Hugh Porter is unbearable. Got Mercury Rev Peel Sessions on instead!

    Excellent stage. Excellent win.

    1-2 for UHC?

Heavyweight. Very well done that man.

No Sky train to crush courageous attacking.

But I thought Sky were far too strong for this race?
