Alasdair Fotheringham: "Just had one of the worst transfers of my life. Climb if you are interested is very steep at last km. Other than that goes up in steps. Warm but not excessively so at finish, very twisting descent before hand. Really, really difficult drive to get to. Best bit was when I was told the best way to get to the finish was to drive up a riverbed!"

The gap starting to fall quite rapidly now as Saxo gradually ramp up the pace on the front. The break is less than 2 mins ahead.

Attacks from who ? There is a break away at the moment, J-Rod and Froome wont attack from out this far so no one else to worry about. They are keeping hard pace to take sting out of J-Rods legs, Saxo are worried about him so they will hope to drop him on last climb. Good chance for froome to conserve energy.
