How can you get a sprint wrong?
More to the point, why didn't you invite her back to your place for a quick explanation?
Pfft.
My gf can explain a sprint fine.
So can mine. There was a question about it during the interview process."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

What a remarkable achievement, well done Cav, Froome, and Wiggo! I was in tears at the end. I didn't win the raffle!
Good stuff. If you've caught the bug there is cycling to be watched from January through October. I don't know if ITV4 are showing the Vuelta a Espana again this August, but if they do you will love it.
Having not seen any ITV4 ads for this year's Vuelta, I emailed ITV today to ask if they'd be covering it this year too:-
"Thank you for your recent email regarding La Vuelta.
I am very sorry to disappoint you, currently we don't the rights to live
coverage or hightlights for La Vuelta for 2012."
Hopefully, the "currently" leaves scope for the situation to change, bearing in mind that I don't think they announced last year's coverage rights until 4 days before the Vuelta started.0 -
Well what a difference success makes.
Yellow Peril the wierdo office stinky cyclist has found a coy of L'Equipe magazine on his desk today (Mark Cav on the fron but I don't read French) and an email from a major High Street Bank inviting him to a hospitality afternoon on saturday to watch the Olympic Road Race.
Things are looking up.0 -

So it was you that won the raffle then?0 -
He's already talking in the third person. I think the success has got to him.0

He certainly will be if they don't win Gold in the Team Pursuit.
It's mad isn't it, half a season devoted to an event lasting less than four minutes."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

In fairness, that is the beauty of the olympics.
I mean, imagine dedicating your entire life up to around 35 to jumping as far as possible into a sandpit.0 -

or jumping over a stick using another stick.
That shot of what must be Peter Sagan's bike which looks like its taken in my old school field, how do they get them to stand up like that with no visible means of support? Edit it out later on? a horde of ants obscured by the tyres?0 -
Mad_Malx wrote:ddraver wrote:I hesitiate to ask this, but whatever happened to Rundy..?
Last seen on stage 14 with an empty box of tacks.
Ahh!
I kind of want to know what he thinks of all this, a bit like when you just have to touch a hot plate, or when you get a twinge in your calf and clench your toes to get cramp...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

It is ridiculous when you think about it, have one off day/minor injury and that's it, years of work down the toilet.
I should know....In my early teenage years I put in a huge amount of preparation for an event that lasted less than a minute."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Or they use a stick, but usually for MTB's only....
another fine example of cycling being at the forefront of technological advances!0 -

100m sprinter? Maximum of 4 rounds of 10 seconds (although they may end up doing a relay) but half of them will only run once and a false start means they don't go at all!0 -
