This is the longest advert I've seen on Eurosport for a while.

    Froome: master of subtlety....
You might have had a response from a pro cyclist on Twitter, you may even have chatted to a 'journo', but ultimately, you still know nothing. You're not an insider, no matter how much you wish you are.

I'm surprised he didn't paste his CV on his jersey this morning instead of a race number.

How to make a statement without making a statement.

Don't get that... why didn't they let Froome push on for the Stage? Weird. Wiggins was safe and Froome was never gonna make up the time in 1.5km.. or did they not want him getting too close before the TT?

Brilliant stuff. Wiggo clearly put himself into the red at the bottom of the climb; wonder if he underestimated it? They should have let Froome go, assuming Wiggo wasn't in major difficulty, but Froome also shouldn't have kept looking over his shoulder + making it clear he was stronger.

Froome... He's on fine form. Big respect for towing Wiggins the full way to save his single legs for the TT.

That was just weird. Froome looked like he was having a natter whilst doing a sportive!

The way Pinot and others came back at them I think Wiggins was right on the verge of blowing up.

Good ride by Sky. Gutted Valverde won.

yeah - 'kin doping' bar steward. I hope some journos ask him some ballsy doping questions at the press conference

    Vaughters: "Jonathan Vaughters ‏@Vaughters

Would have been better for Froome to just drop Wiggo by 20 seconds or whatever and settle it in the time trial. That was just humiliation."

    Ouch.

I just don't understand how he didn't do any of this pre-2011 Vuelta (in between bouts of illness).

Zola Budd could have won that for sure. Shame really, could have avoided having a dopehead win, nmind.

I thought Froome was in trouble half way up the climb. Nice to see the two of them going for it but still don't see why Froome couldn't go ahead and try for the stage, he wouldn't have endangered Wiggins.

Whoa. Yikes. Either work for wiggins or attack him. Two feet in or two feet out."

They both went through bad periods I think. Wiggins could have gone when Nibali and Froome were both struggling.
