As a pro i would wear the one i am PAID to wear. Choice does not come into it. If my SPONSOR wants me to sell a new helmet by sticking on my melon I would do so - even if I looked a tit doing so.
remember they have to make a living in a very short career0 -
Of course they have choice. Look at Sky or Lotto, they have aero and non aero road helmets avaliable to them and you will see different riders using different ones on different days.

I reiterate my earlier point... It just looks so awful that I'd rather be 17 seconds slower over 40km.
I'm no lover of helmets either, but I own a couple I can get on with. That looks like this
"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Never mind all the aero stuff, when will Giro (Bell) develop straps that lay flat around your ears and into the clamp?? :?
It irrationally anoys the hell out of me on my helmets.Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -

Looks like Sky have been looking at some custom gear to try and get their porky Dogmas down to the weight limit for those "high" mountains

I dont know how Ryder H does not suffer from back problems look at the height from his saddle and the stem is one of those ugly pointy down things - It must work seeing as he won the Giro.0 -

Interesting that they went to the trouble of spraying up a frame for him, but didn't removed the cable stop for the front mech gear cable on the downtube.0 -

Yes wearing something like that is going to "Benefit" a rider like Johan Van Summeren (6'5") riding in a bunch....just another marketing ploy...wait till a few hot days and they will be back in the vented helmets.

It's the normal bike set-up for guys over 6ft with long femurs who race. It looks like a crazy drop to the bars but it's not as aggressive as it looks. I ride with a large drop to the bars also and its very comfy.0
