The rotors, as they have less metal they will have a much greater temperature increase - maybe your brake pads weren't happy at the higher temp?0

Now the rotors been on for a bit, they work great for me well recommended , however if you want lighter version go for kcnc 160mm = 75g :shock:0

I have the XTR Ice techs which seem to work well, with the centre lock rotors there seems little point getting the lighter rotors as I would have to use adaptors which would negate any weight saving?0

New saddle
Current weigth now is 25.10lbs - 11.38 kg . I'm very happy to achieved that0 -

That's what I'm using, the Razors. Fine on the back (140mm), but I've stopped using the front.0 -

Was using 160mm all round no issues0 -
All due your riding doesn't really appear to tax your brakes though! The 160 front was way down on power compared to the Avid rotor on my other wheels. They felt alright until I swapped! Wouldn't totally put me off using them, could be my pads, or the specific brake rather than the rotor itself, but I'm happy carrying the 30g extra on the Avid rotor.0

Hi sorry to revive the thread, but I am intending to get a 2009 Rize(ugliest colour - intend to respray) with 130mm travel. Would it be wise to upgrade the fork to 150mm Manitou Minute? Will the frame be under huge pressure? Thanks in advance!0
