Paraphrasing... "We've had a great Giro, congratulations to Rubiano / Felline / De Marchi etc, but we built the team around Rujano and now he needs to start showing results. Soon we will be in Milan and he would have done nothing."

Something about the team being a car and him holding the keys.

Is that Cav on bottle duty?

He climbs in my estimations every day.

Don't understand why Katusha didn't chase this. It's not as if the rest of them will be doing anything other than being towed around by Liquigas for the rest of the week and J Rod would be very likely to take bonus seconds.

OK. (fake) bets on when the break starts to implode/explode.

    144.2km [or 28.8km to go]

Coz they know J-Rod loses an average of 7 minutes in the 3rd week of a GT so there is no point in hurting their legs?

    :P
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

    Effort versus reward.

J Rod can still make time on the others up this climb, in theory.

Today suits him, but he'll need his team more later in the week. Ten guys up the road will need a serious chase from Katusha if nobody else wants them brought back.

Cav definitely doing himself some favours finishing the Giro and being seen to be doing some domestique work.

    More importantly, PTP washout?

    Yeah...

I can see the bunch riding tempo up the final hill with no attacks. It seems to be one of those days.

Why is everyone surprised? He did it at HTC and he knows the value of the team around him.

Unless Clement can pull out a super dooper TT win on the last day, this is the worst I've ever seen Rabobank in a GT.

Main field just riding tempo up the climb, saving it for tomorrow.

Haha, off to a flying start we hope!

The descent of Falzarego should be scenic at least.

And many of you say the sprint stages are boring - at least you always get a minute of excitement.
