    Absolute f**king farce.

Like most others here I got through to submit my purchase on 2 occasions before the next screen tells me there are no tickets. The system is f**ked. I thought the way it was meant to work was if you got to the timed period then the tickets were held until you submitted the purchase (or the timer ran out). Now on my 3rd attempt, won't be trying again.

exactly if you've reserved the tickets you have them surely, they can't be allotted to someone else in the 2 mins it takes you to process your payment details

Again same story. Must have been one of the first on with a minute wait and thrown out on confirming my payment details. Tried again and thrown out after a three minute wait. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it's just a log jam on the payment details and as this thins out we may get lucky and have some success. For a big international ticketing company and an event as big as it gets - pathetic doesn't even come near.

I got through to the payment page within 30 seconds of the tickets going on sale and got rejected and then again another 2 times. This has happened to me before when applying. God I'm so angry.

After numerous failed attempts to get tickets for Donkey Green I tried for the Zig Zag road. One attempt at 11.40am a ten minute wait and managed to get 3 tickets. Not sure where this is on the hill or if there will be a big screen to watch it from ? Anyone from the area know much about it?

Happy that at least I'll get to see on the hill.

My colleague got 4 tickets for Box Hill-Zig Zag Road on his fourth submission. What a system! Doesn't seem to have been a proper queue as I know he submitted his request after mine as I had to remind him to login at 11am.

ep, managed to get three and a half tickets for the bottom section of the hill. Time trial now saying sold out. Not impressed by the whole sorry farce but at least I didn't leave empty handed.

It's not being unable to get tickets that's annoyed me - everyone knows there's a limited supply and loads of people wanting them - it's the totally shambolic system that's infuriating. They've had millions of tickets to sell and it was always going to be a tricky task, but they don't seem to have learned any lessons. Today was just as farcical as the first ticket sales a year ago.

Also taking my boy, hoping I'll get him hooked on cycling - he's almost 4, he should be getting started by now!

(he did see the 2009 tour prologue, but claims not to remember it - yeah right!)

From earlier post, it's the Dormouse Drive section which is the first part of the climb.

    No luck for me.

Anyone know what the word is on best pubs along the route? Anywhere from the mall to Richmond will do!

Couldn't get any for Saturday, but got some for Sunday and the woman's race. Should be a great atmosphere!

Can't even see of any way to complain!

That was beyond a shambles. Not looking forward to the Olympics. Convinced anyone in power in this country is an idiot.

I was in the queue at 11:00am and had the same problem as many people in getting binned out after entering card details 3 times.

I did manage to get 2x tickets for the Women's RR in the end but the whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
