So Gaz on our ride this morning mentioned Crudfest this year. So i thought about possible options.
Was thinking July August time for warmth cos i like it warm! And as for place i was thinking maybe FOD. the reason being there is some XC and DH there to play on, and some of the guys don't really XC much these days would be good to have riding options for a weekend.
Lets have some thinking..... Scary i know in the crud section.

sounds good to me there's always cannock, i know you despise the place waylander, but its got crackin xc routes and decent DH over at stile cop0

I'm going to say that's not a bad idea, but purely for selfish reasons which would make it easy for me0 -

Amen to that, end of thread /0 -
I always feat it will descend into what about here, what about here. I think the best thing is find a half decent number of people to agree on somewhere and some time, then anyone else can join in or not. Fod is cool though, especially as you can do verderer dual slalom, get to the point of the final downhill before it splits, have a handicap so weaker rider starts first them at the split choose your route wisely and first to the bottom wins0

Might have to do a seperate one for southern Audi drivers. With Bolli of course instead of beer.
Better have my man start polishing the bike.I don't do smileys.

I vote FoD. But being a posh southerner I'll fork out a whole £25 or whatever for an uplift instead of being a tight fecker and pushing up :-)"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

IOM is right in the middle of Britain.
If it's going to be a full weekend, I don't see why it couldn't be somewhere like Glentress / Inners. If it's an entire weekend, it's worth the trip up there.0 -
I'm with the tailless cat.
FOD seems a bit too close to Cannock really, which doesn't seem to make sense if this is designed for everyone. One up in Scotland would be worth a weekend, definitely!
Once you've decided on a place, I'll let you know if I'm coming or notIt takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

You've not got a good one up in Scotlanding in you.
Besides, as we all well know, as this is a crudfest, it'll turn out like the rest of them. Loads of big talking, then 3 people turn up.0 -

FOD sounds like a plan, but for those that don't want to do the DH, the Verderers trail is pretty crap (its only a blue)... I could imagine a few disappointed people lol.
Personally, I'd vote for Cannock
Good trail.
Good DH.0 -

If some one can suggest somewhere in scotland that has easily accessable xc and dh in one area great otherwise your missing the idea and not helping. Because I'm hating these silly red trail centre trails at the mo.0

Without getting your handbag out waylander, I already suggested Inners/GT.
They're literally a couple of km apart, offer very good XC and DH, there is a town nearby for supplies, LOADS of campsites, and bike hire available for those cm,oing from further afield. Plus there is loads of natural stuff about too.0
