Nice, but no. It needs to be less Embankment biased but with more emphasis on SCR and FCN. The number should be the rider's FCN.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

Ah ok. Words are easy to change. The number refers to Cat 6 racing.
Oh, and the chequered pattered... those are all QR codes which link to the SCR thread.
Themed enough? What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0 -

QR code is a nice idea, but would it actually get used in the real world? Seems a bit gimmicky.
I'm coming across as a bit of a nay sayer and that is not what I am, so I'll make some suggestions.
I would suggest "FCN #" on the back (kind of like the name and number on a football shirt", "SCR" on the back lower down and on the front to look like a sponsor's logo . Having the QR code there might be more successful too.
Various colours, yellow, green, red and white polka dots, pink etc
All of that does require a complete redesign though. Sorry!FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

Grin. I figured I'd get the ball rolling. Discussion is good.
Bear in mind though, you ride a fixeh, therefore you are creative! What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0 -

Good start!FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Ooo, interesting.
My thoughts: remove the chequed pattern, put SCR on it - perhaps the sleeves? - and remove the Embankment Peleton so it appeals to everyone in the SCR thread, and perhaps make it all black.FCN 2-4.

IMO the top one is best. Remove embankment peloton and EP, and just have your number as your FCN.
No more detailing required. Those who know, will know. Why SCR or FCN?
Personally I would also like blue, as my bike is blue. Orange might be cool for Strava users too....0 -

Would you like something that matches your blonde hair, too? And maybe it should have "Hang Ten" on it, or "Aloha"? :PFCN 2-4.

I like it. I might be able to come up with a logo for SCR given a few days. Let me scribble some ideas and come back to you. Black is good although do we need something that is target-tastic?0

Wouldn't something like this be better?
Aren't you supposed to look like you're not trying too hard?0 -

I'd like black with SCR down the sleeves.
#itsnotarace across the lower back and bikeradar logo/web address so those that don't know but are curious can find out.
Scotswood Road Peloton would make more sense to me as I haven't ridden Embankment since I was a lad so that text should be custom.
Only problem is that FCN can change on a daily or seasonal basis.I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.0 -
A lot of us will be wearing a rucksack so positioning of logo's etc should take that into consideration. Perhaps a little star like world cup winners footy shirt to denote a winner of commuter of the year as presented at Xmas doo. Like it though.Bianchi Nirone C2C FCN40

hmmmm
Little bike caps . . . .
very cheap, very cool . . .
also drop your FCN.
"FCN -1"
Printed on the cap . . . . . . It does exactly what it says on the tin . . . .
and a Union flag, union flags are cool . . ..Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

Very much like the "its not a race" idea, or however it could be put. I'm thinking classic and understated.
So long as it resembles, in no way, shape or form, a football shirt. Eugh, the very thought.
If you FCN varies... buy a LS 5 for winter, and SS 4 for summer. As if you needed any excuse....0 -
SCR on the rear pockets, C on the middle, R on the right and S on the left just to confuse people and make them think.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

I like this idea.0 -
Think you need a "Wuss" version as well.0

Embankment peloton? You'll need one of these on it then as well

I kinda like the retro idea:
But with SCR, rather than 'Z' team......and no Peugeot.0 -
Definitely lose the chequerboard, how about SCR on the left sleeve and FCN (x) on the right. Be nice to see what grade you've just scalped.

I know the topic is regarding Jerseys but would it be worth considering any other ideas beforehand. I was thinking about something like a "sew on" or "iron on" type badge or discreet sticker for a seat post?
Would work out a lot cheaper and would be easy to fix to the back of several items, as somebody else pointed out you could afford to order different numbers to suit different bikes etc.
I think the jersey would look smart but I'm just throwing ideas out there....0 -
