I have to agree with the monkey, i am a massive Hamilton fan, he should of known he couldn't of held him back and should of gracefully gifted him the place and taken third. That said i am a racer at hart and i see the red mist more than most so probably would of taken Maldonado out
Best Valencia race by far though, i was expecting another bore fest like previous years.

To quote Lewis yesterday: "You never let people past. You have to race for every position you can get."

What I'm more annoyed at is the Ferrari Internationale de l'Automobile allowed Alonso to get away with parking the car at the end of the race not having got to the pits. Sure, turned out he hadn't run out of fuel, but there's an absolute certainty if it was Hamilton who broke down there and pranced around like a clown in front of the crowd, he'd be slapped with a penalty for something. Even if there isn't such a rule yet, they'd invent one.

Yes very much this, he gets penalised for anything.
I agree about fighting for points, but to score points first you have to finish! (its what my dad used to say to me every weekend!)

For me it comes down to safe run off's - if it had been a wall/gravel then there wouldn't have been a point and hope move

With statements like that Lewis has shown he's not fighting for the world title but for a place on a Sunday afternoon. In one of the closest ever seasons in F1 every points finish has to count even if that means foregoing a place on occasions but he needlessly through away all points. Alonso's tyres went off in Canada and cost him several places at the end but he didn't try running people off the road to prove a point, and now he leads the world championship.

    Dat is true innit.
I thought he had learned from button on how to keep the tyres, and was going for one less stop.
