  • Nice to see Rosberg on pole today. His face was a picture when he was stood near the weigh scales and he was trying to look cool, but couldn't help grinning....
It was equally nice to see Vettel down in 11th place. Should be an interesting race when Rosberg has no use of there controversial duct system if he stays in the lead. I am predicting that the Mercedes cars will cause a bit of a traffic jam.... Lets wait and see.

Well done nico! Starting at the front should give him a chance of a top 16 finish!
Should be a interesting race, Hamiltons race pace is meant to be really good and I can't see vettel staying all the way down there, time to prove he can fight his way through?
I recon Kobayashi could be te one to watch tomorrow for the "action" :)

if it rains, kobiyashi is sure to win it!! vettel will take someone/many many people on his way through the field, where he will quite literally just drive straight through them because we all know that, other than one good pass on alonso last year (who pussied out of a move with webber going into eau rouge), he simply cannot overtake.

Well that was a cracking race! Shame about the fark up with buttons wheel, could have made the last few laps a bit more tense.
  • It certainly was interesting. Raikonnen really caused a big tail back until his tyres fell apart. By that time Rosberg was way out in front. Its a shame Jenson got delayed long enough to get stuck in the pack. Good result though, very pleased for Rosberg.

One of the best GPs in the era of KERS / DRS ever.
Such a shame about Schumacher's wheel nut not being fitted, it could have been a Mercedes 1 & 2.
Watching Raikkonen's rapid demotion from 2nd to 10th was an eye opener too.
Kudos to Webber for overtaking Vettel, a little payback for 2010/2011, although Webber's "wheelie" was entertaining

    Remember Webber's flip at LeMans?

Son woke me up just in time to see it on the beeb, good race especailly at the end, shame about schu's wheel, thought that would have been a good race if he had stayed out poor guy looked devastated when the car drove off

Loving the season so far, should be highly interesting for the rest of the year i hope!

I was getting a bit bored with the race until the last round of pitstops, amazing final few laps, really enjoyed it, plus i didnt have to go anywhere else to watch it live, which is nice.
    Bring on next weekend!

Great qualifying, this season is thankfully full of surprises and no run away team

Shame about the politics and Bernie's head stuck in the sand, and weird behaviour from the FOM over Force India.

Still need the sport to be knocked back a good 20 years or so and get it back into proper racing, not the farce and spectacle it is today. Or at least get rid of the last of the dinosaurs who ruin the sport out of greed.

    Rant of the day over.

    +1

I've started to watch the BTCC again - there was some on the box last night and it was just great, entertaining racing (which F1 could be).

@ Stevo Really? i find BTCC quite like banger racing these days, and no way near as fun to watch as when they use to have mandatory pit stops etc.

As for the F1.. missed qualifying yesterday so no idea whos where too lazy to look a f1.com either, highlights later on the beeb so hopfully will be good to watch!

Yep, really. You should have seen the racing at Donny yesterday. Some great wheel to wheel stuff and some very entertaining high speed dodgems. Makes F1 feel a bit sterile.

    found it disapointing

needed a burning pile of tyres across track at turn 4 or 5

Well that was disappointing. I wanted to see protesters running riot on the track and Bernie getting kidnapped. Or at least someone give Alonso a slap.

I saw that , was impressed but annoyed with plato at the end forcing his way through like him as a driver but thought it was dirty :|

As for F1 today.. highlights werent that great on the beeb, mclaren need to get thier act together with pitstops not that the cars looked competitive either, good race otherwise :)
