Who do you think is the greatest footballer of all time? Hard to answer of all time due to my age but Bergkamp of the players I've seen play.

Who do you think is the best footballer in the World right now? Robin Van Persie.

Who is your favourite footballer ever? too many to choose just one, soft spot for Vieira, Van Persie, Wright, Bergkamp, Pires, Ljunberg & Henry.

What was the greatest goal you have ever seen? Denis Bergkamp vs Newcastle (2002)

Yeah i admit, i was being a bit biased there but i don't watch enough football in general to have enough knowledge of other players to be honest.

Live cycling is far more exciting imho.

Greatest of all time must be Josef “Pepi” Becan. 100M in 10-2 or 10.8 depending who you want to believe, probably as fast as any footballer today and as fast as any sprinter in his day. And two good feet. Scored 607 goals in 406 games in domestic leagues. Rapid Vienna and Sparta Prague were his clubs. To some extent all of this was devalued by the Second World War but there can't be much doubt he was The Hotspur's “Golden Gus” made real. He died in 2001. My company WeAdmire.net has the t shirt: http://weadmire.net/tshirt/pepi-bican-417-t-shirt/

There is one for you to all Google

don't need to google him thanks. Reading FC and leaving his doings in other peoples kitbags. would have been interesting to see how good he really was or could have been if he'd chosen to step up to the top level rather that taking the p*** out of lower level defences week in week out

    Len Shackleton.

Sunderland legend - bit before my time but heard a lot about him from older supporters I've spoken to.

Who do you think is the greatest footballer of all time? Pele.

Who do you think is the best footballer in the World right now? Goalkeeper: Adam Bogdan (OK, Bolton bias, but all the same...), defender: Alessandro Nesta, attacking player: Messi. Without a shadow of a doubt.

Who is your favourite footballer ever? One of the two legends from my teams. Steve Butler (Maidstone United) or Jay-Jay Okocha (Bolton)

What was the greatest goal you have ever seen? On TV I'd say 7:20 into this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLMO_3-7P2w . On youtube, this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sAZJtl6Qz0 and in real life Arnar Gunnlaugson's equaliser for Bolton vs Crystal Palace in 1999 (I think)

I met something of a footballing legend the other day and didn't even realize it until after we'd had a conversation about refereeing.

I'm afraid I did have to do a bit of reading up at home on who Phil Beal from Spurs was! In my defense I'm a middlesbrough fan

I still think Gazza's goal against Scotland in Euro '96 was a belter:
