I just had a sex wee!

Let me know what you think of the forks. I have the same ones but haven't finished my build yet so haven't had a chance to try them out. I've seen some reports of problems with the dual position system.

I have last years Blackbox RLT Ti revs with the DPA spring and find that they blow through the midstroke too much, especially compared to fixed travel revs. I think it is possible to swap the spring for the fixed travel version, which I may end up doing if I cant find a setting that stops it diving. Im not sure if they have fixed this issue for the 2012 ones though

Yes, well hasn't been cheap but around £4200 all up, I've bought most components from bike-discount.de, bits and pieces wherever was cheapest and got the frame/chainset/forks on price match at 0% interest at cycle surgery Kings Cross who've been awesome, totally recommend them as the best cycle shop I've used in London.

Well thats good to hear was thinking of a £4500 self buid so will come in budget. Still got a bit more to save up to reach that goal but now the pivot just got more tempting. Had been saving for a Orange 5 pro with factory fit upgrades but my fetish for carbon fibre and the good reviews the 5.7 is getting may make wait that bit longer.

Bah!! Superlight now saying (after their delivery date was due and only after posting on their FB page could I get a response) that Tune haven't delivered the hubs to them so it will be at least another 2 weeks before they get them!! Swines!
I'm off to Scotland on the 24th May so this cocks it right up.
Might cancel and order with r2-bike.com even thought it's €100 more they say there in stock, delivered in 2 weeks, depending on what they say.
Also ordered another set of rotor bolts from Slam69.com, in stock on the website, apparently not on the shelf!
    The internet...it'll never catch on...

On a lighter note got some more bits today at work - spare brake pads, Stans rip tape, Dartmoor seat post clamp and Dartmoor brake rotor bolts, bring on the bling! :-)

How come you went with the rim strip? Assuming your still getting flows, you only need the yellow tape right?
  • agg25
    agg25 Posts: 619
Well this ones made for the flows and is supposed to seal better and has the valve inbuilt so a bit easier to manage

I've got flows and have received the tape kit today, so ill be giving that a go first. I'll be interested in hearing how hard/easy the Hans dampf are to put on. From stans website looser fitting tyres prone to burning require that rim strip. Hopefully its a tight fit and I won't need it.

I've seen a review of the HDs somewhere and it said they were pretty easy to fit, but when I get me wheels I'll let you know.
