I'm so happy the season has started and i'm chuffed to see Tom back winning... however... jeez its so tough to enjoy this race...

    Totally agree.

It's a good field and much more than the training ride it was a few years ago, but the course has nothing to hold attention. Long, straight, flat roads.

    Bring on the classics.

Dont Let Pat hear you slagging this race - he might just banish the Tour of Flanders and replace it with this joke event.... Watching paint dry doesnt even come close. Yes folks this is the UCI`s "way forward" or a case of here are my Bank sort code details or am i being too cynical ? 8)
  • All very dull. Even the sprint lacked any excitement at all. Having said that the TTT around the motor circuit should be good fun and a good indicator of how the smarmy team training camps have helped with team unity, especially for the likes of BMC, QS and Sky.

You know who organises the race, right?

Great to see Tommeke winning again. He's matched 2011's total already!

    Results of TTT today

    1 - Garmin
    2 - OPQS
    3 - Sky

Boonen probably (just) holds onto leaders jersey

What a start of the season for QS.

I bet they're hoping they're not massively peaking too soon.

Just watched a recording, strange seeing Cav in black Sky kit. Looking healthier though, which is great.

Quick Question - why wasn't Boonen wearing the leader's jersey during the TTT?

My guess is that no-one had made up a leader's jersey skinsuit, so he was allowed to stick with his team one.

Pace is quite high. Gerneal jossying for postion at 13k out.

Cancellara's hanging towards the back, and Cav isn't that far in front of him, but has a few sky boys with him

Boonen's reasonably well placed so far - Garmin and Leopard are doing most of the work - not sure who Leopard would be riding for??

Cav wins a stage and there's barely a ripple in BikeRadar.

I dare say we've become blasé about what's an exceptional talent.
