Nice yet us know ow it rides when you get it.

I'm contemplating a Ti bike at some point later this year or maybe next, since I saw a Volagi I've been thinking about a disc brake Ti road bike.

Prior sentiments echoed; look forward to a good, independent appraisal of it from you, rather than from the advertiser/sponsor-wary bike sites.

Thanks all. I'm pretty excited though not quite as excited, it seems, as the nice folk at Volagi to be selling their first bike into the UK. Will be just the bike to do my 600-mile West to East odyssey in the summer I think.

    well jel.
  • Jolly well done, Looking forward to your review! I have not had a reply :-(

Are you moving to just one road bike plus MTB? My plan was to maybe eBay the Spesh Roubaix, and Boardman CX.

Although my eldest Daughter has put a dibb in for the CX

    I do like that.

May I ask the price including pie and peas, and expected customs charges?
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

It took a bit of time to get a response to the first couple of mails.

Yup - I think I'll have a cull though I may keep one other road bike - so I'll shift:

    Focus Cayo 105
    or
    Focus Variado 105
    and
    105-equipped Boardman CX

I'll then use the Cube Reaction MTB with Ice Spiker Pros for icy days

List on the bike (plus team kit thrown in). I'll confirm all the other costs as they are confirmed to me.

Surely as the first UK customer, you should get an introductory offer.

A quick conversion of the MSRP gives around £2,300 - not cheap, but not silly money either.

    Air - DHL.

No - it's a treat/reward to myself for surviving a stupendously crap year last year. Wouldn't normally consider spending quite so much on a bike but, if I were to design my ideal steed, the Volagi would be pretty much it.

The nice lady on the phone said "volahjee" (with a US twang). I'd say the same sort of thing with more of an Italian accent. One of my colleague did suggest that he wouldn't buy a bike named after "lady parts" :D

    The model is a "lissio"

23mm wide rims apparently. What tyre width comes on those?

Just curious with regards to any future wheel build for my Boardman.

Back on topic, that's a lovely looking bike, and that price isn't too ridiculous for something so nice, and unique.

Designed for 25c tyres which is perfect for me (after my tyre experiments).

Thanks. I know it's pricey and extravagant but I've learned that you can't take it with you and you have no idea how long you've got.

    Pass.

I'm seemingly faster on 25s than 23s so I'll just be running 25s

    Great Stuff, Tuesday in Highlands?

You'd hope. Bet I don't have it before Friday. The Highlands are on a different planet according to most delivery companies....

It's a race between the bike from CA and the Di2 from Germany

I missed the Di2 part, there is pushing the boat out, and then blowing it out of the water! Well done onthe latter lol

Pleased for you, a bit of envy too :-) I have talked myself out of it, at the moment

    Di2?! Missed that bit, too.

Very interested to know how it performs.
