had a really good night on Wednesday, best result so far inside top 50 overall and 20 in the vets. Just couldn't get to grips with the uphill through the trees section lost my rythym over the bumps and ripples every time.

But John announced at the start, that the Beastway series won't be running next year, he and the team are taking a break, so no summer series unless they can get a club or team involved now to take over for next year, they said that equpiment for the series would be available to us and the Redbridge cycle centre would be available to use.

We might have enough people interested to make 2 teams.

I had a shocker as I didn't clamp my seat post and by the end of the race I thought I was on a jump bike, knees up by my ears!!!

I think I past you on the last lap going through the woods, think you were in blue with some grey hair popping out from under your hat and you commented that I was a lot younger than you, I was going to come and have a chat with you beford the race but wasn't sure it was you!

Anyway should see you next week

Nicemonkey, didn't see you at the race, were you there?

Dam I cant make the team race on the 25th, my girlfriend is a teacher and has just booked a holiday taking advantage of her school breaking up early. When she gave me the choice of riding around a muddy hill in London or sunning myself in the Med there was only 1 winner! Sorry. Looks like my Beastway season is over for the year...maybe for good if they don't find someone to take it over.

I did kind of plant the seed into Glenns head, and I know there was a flicker of light there, but don't know if it will lead any where. Matt has gone very quiet at the moment but he has a lot on his plate at the moment so has to be expected I suppose.

I hope someone does take it on, will be a shame if it just ends... but we will see if it is going to be Hadleigh MTB Club

Anyone going tonight? Am hoping the weather will hold off today as dont fancy having to clean the bike when i get home at 10pm and having to get up for work at 5am. Touch wood the course will have dried out a bit from last weeks. Didnt race last week but it look messy lol.

Whats the score with out team? have we still got 4 riders?

yeah , final round tonight, I need to be as close to top ten in cat as possible, still trying to finish inside of top twenty in class in final standings.

Course could be mainly gravel sections tonight, olympics have taken over the site now, so the team won't have much time to set up the course, will be easier for them just to use excisting gravel track with prehaps the wooded sections thrown in.

It's only the lower wooded section that stays wet really so as long as it doesnt rain today should be good ground tonight. I'm already half way through my pasta and fueling for tonight....
