Well, that depends whether you want to sit in front of your PC all night watching movies.
I generally don't, however some use Media PCs to stream their downloads to TV0 -

Laptop + HDMI cable + TV = no need for cable for anything other than live footieFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
That is one thing my wife and I thought about doing when we move into our new flat, cable isn't too expensive here, but it would save a little bit more on top of other savings can make a decent difference.
As far as TWD goes, last nights episode has me wondering what is going to be happening soon. That thing with the hallucinations on Darylls part, as well as such a short ending has the wife and I going crazy to find out what happens next!0 -
Connecting my laptop to my big screen is not really a hassle, 1 vga/ hdmi cable + one audio cable = free tv.
E5 was quality, next episode should be good. Barn is definitely the word.0 -

The comics are cool as fark too, i hope they do more of the comic storylines than last series, getting on the farm is a good start. I like how the comics are in black and white but to do that in the tv series would be too devisive i reckon.

A good site for that sort of thing (tells you when TV programmes are due to air as well).
you shoud try "the fades" also, first serie is on eztv, and i damn good for a bbc production0 -

Watched the Fades when it was on bbc3, was alright. That lads recaps at the beginning were the best bit tho. I think it couldnt decide what sort of horror it wanted to be so tried to do a bit of different stuff, zombies, cannabilism, murder, jose morinho (sp?) "the special one". I enjoyed it but not a patch on TWD, was a bit slow. But i would of thrown one to his bird n sister.
And maybe his mate.
Anyway- hopefully its gonna kick off in e6, the seeds have been sown.0 -

Just watched SE02E06!
No spoilers from me... but... the cat is out of the bag on so many levels... gripping stuff.. but when you watch it without the commercials the episodes seem a little short...0 -

I've thought that as well, the first season seemed so long for each episode, now it seems like the new episodes are done ebfore they start.0 -

Northernshaggy, is that not a massive spoiler that you've just posted?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
-
no, just a photoshopped pic to see what they might look like if they eventually turned into zombies

Just watched SE02E07 and yea, things are getting very interesting...
Roll on Season 3...0 -

Probably in about 3 months after SE02 which seems to be the normal.
I read a lot of comments about how U.S. viewers aren't too happy with SE02 as it's more like a "soap opera" and not nearly enough focus on the zombies and what's going on in the world outside of the farm.
I've also read that the producers have been made aware of this and intend to liven things up in SE03.. obviously bowing to the pressure from the TV networks airing TWD.0 -
Episode 7 ending was top

they cant follow the books to closely, only been on the farm 7 episodes and folks are starting complain.
personally am still finding the series great, survial horror at its best, and i know theres even more good stuff to come but wouldnt want to give to many spoilers.
but...
night of the living dead= folks surviving in a house
dawn of the dead= .................. shopping centre
day of the dead= ................... army base
land of the dead= ................... new york
sticking to the books alone they have about next 8 series worth of content0 -

WTF.
Why would they release the 8th episode so long away? That's not fair.0 -

In the books you get the feeling it's spread over a far greater time span then the TV. Between book 1 and 2 we go through what seems like autumn, winter and then spring is starting to break.
People are complaining that there's less action in this one, but The Walking Dead was written to show how a man copes with the zombie apocalypse and tries to provide a normal life for his family. It always was going to be a slow burner.adiggers wrote:how many books they upto think i've read to late 70s now
I'm reading them in the larger graphic novel form and book 15 comes out in December, I can't wait.0 -

I'm American, and somehow I had completely forgotten about the series breaks. I still find it morally wrong to put this show on hold for the next 3 months!!0 -
i just checked torrent sites and is upto 91 on there, and if we heading prison next that means Michonne o.00
-
Bloody daft idea havin a 3 month break.0
