:O Twofold.
Terrible use of the word podium, and a big shout.
Anyone going to challenge?
No worse a use of the phrase podium than of your use of the phrase "a big shout" Rick
Touché.
Never mind Rick I've fixed it so it really can only be described as a big shout!0 -
How about Boonen will not win either Flanders or Roubaix again!

I've mooted that one before...
Now, those of you who were ADAMANT that Cav wouldn't be going to Sky. Time to own up?0 -

He's one rider I wouldn't be so quick to write off. There is too much class in Boonen. I would really like to see him on top form battling it out with Gilbert0 -

TBH, I'd like to see him win Roubaix again. I was trying to get a rise from a certain forum member, but he easily saw through my cheap shot!0 -
I've always said Hincapie will never win Roubaix. I understand he is riding for another year so he'll probably go and win and I will have egg on my face!
I've had a couple of successes - I picked Bruseghin for a TT in the Giro when no-one else did and he won and on another forum I picked Gilbert for his first P-T win and no-one else did!
My 2012 prediction? They'll be blood on the floor of the Sky bus - mark my words - tears and toys.'Google can bring back a hundred thousand answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one.'

That is an unbelievable shout, and one I shall challenge.
He absolutely will not win the Tour.
Game on.
You're on, Rick!0 -

I also predict Rick will win his bet with Tusher. If suffer we must, let's suffer on the heights. (Victor Hugo).0 -
Cavendish will crack up under the pressure and end up throwing his toys out the pram in 2012.0
-
2012 will be a disappointing year for British Cycling (on the track mainly, but I don't think it will live up to expectations on the road)
Contador's hearing/appeal thing will get pushed into 2013 (well, pushed back further)
Tyler Farrar will win on the Champs Elysées (Sky/BC having taken Cav out of the tour)You live and learn. At any rate, you live0 -
26 years since the last French TdF winner. Another 26 'til the next???0
-
-
Geraint Thomas will win a spring classic in the next two years.0
-
Cav will continue to be the best sprinter in 2011 (and continue on his way to being the best sprinter ever) but won't win the Green Jersey and/or the Olympic RR gold medal and people will moan about his abysmal season and what a mistake he's made signing with Sky.
EDIT - I meant "2012" and I hope Gazzaputt's right.0 -
Cav will be the top sprinter in 2012 and win the green jersey in the TDF and go on to take gold in the Olympic road race.
Everyone will hail the success his move to Sky has been.0 -

A lot can happen in 26 years...
A new Hinault could be born tomorrow and win the tour within 26 years.
So they only have to wait 25 years then0 -
-
Edvald Boasson Hagen will never win a Monument.
I think that's a tough one to call.0 -
Wiggo Will not win the Tour.
Cav will not win the Olympic RR.
Im a negative B@stard i know, but they are my predictions!0 -
And whilst we're being negative, Fabian Cancellara will not win Liege Bastonge Liege.0
-
Wiggo Will not win the Tour.
Cav will not win the Olympic RR.
Im a negative B@stard i know, but they are my predictions!
Amazing how far British Cycling has come that this is seen as negative rather than inevitable.0 -

Negative predictions are easy. I'm guilty of it myself :oops:If suffer we must, let's suffer on the heights. (Victor Hugo).0 -

In that case, Contador to win the tour, Olympic Road Race title goes to...ok, that ones a little harder0 -
Katusha will have a better TDF2012 than TDF2011.The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
if we can't have negative predictions:
then my positive predictions must be Spanish cyclists.... joke0 -
Ireland will have another TDF winner before a British rider wins it.

Cavendish will never win another Green Jersey.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Sandy Casar and Jeremy Roy to get another couple of runners up spots in the TdF to add to FDJs growing bridesmaids list.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0

I hope you are not relying on your boy Nico for that one!0 -
Bauke Mollema will win a GT before Robert GesinkIt's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0
