Holy sh!t, just saw the odds on Tony Martin winning.

The best is 6/5, with 11/10 and 21/20 being the more common.

Anyone know why he's so nailed on for the win over Canc?

Because he's been beating him lately e.g. TDF, Vuelta.

I would guess because they are looking at their respective form this year, which would suggest that Martin is in better shape. However if they were both in their 100% best form I still think Fabian would win, would be close though.

Should be a good race of truth today - very much looking forward to this one and seeing if brad can get third (cant see past the german or the Swiss really).

Who else has an outside shot at a podium - Westra maybe?

    Two horse race.
Canc at 6/4 might be worth a punt.

For those in the know - were the Tour and Vuelta TTs flat or rolling?

I suspect Canc will be better over the flat course in Denmark.

I remember him saying he was better over hillier courses.

    Hence his DOMINATION in Lugano.

There's even a short cobbled section for him! Just a few tens of metres passing the queen's palace. There may be a few cobbled turns as well, despite being a cycling Mecca the Danes have a habit of protecting pedestrians by cobbling the mouths of T-Junctions - though only for smallish roads. (The cobbles continue where the pavement would have been for the larger road).

Amazing Castroviejo - not good for a medal yet, but not bad... he beat Phinney at a Prologue this year too.

Laszlo Brodrogi is on the course at the moment. For some reason I had his name whirring round my head this morning. I wouldn't say this is an omen, more a case of him having an interesting name/me being a weirdo.
  • I'm going to stick my neck out and say...

    Martin
    Cancellara
    Wiggins

That Argentine Messineo looks horrible on a TT bike
  • My money is on Martin. Canc hasn't been that special this year (has he? can't remember first half of the season)
  • with the odds being so heavy for martin and cancellara I just put a fiver on wiggins. Might be an outside chance but payout would be £120.

He said months ago this was a target of his along with checking how he runs after a grand tour to test for olympics next year.

Wiggo always gets turned over by Martin though...
