At what point did malt loaf start being called Soreen?

I've only ever known it as malt loaf :(

It still is - just most people know it as produced by soreen. ate it more as a kid than now... cold butter though

Soreen is the food that keeps on giving - you can find it stuck to your teeth literally hours after you ate it

I reckon I'm in tip-top shape for the ride home tonight. Headache, dehydrated and nothing to eat in the office fridge  This thread makes me hungry!

malt loaf was one of the things on the weight watchers programme that was quite low in points so it won't be too bad. :D

Its brilliant stuff, I could live on it, the 5 fruits & banana ones are worth checking out too not as nice IMO but not much is.

My son wandered downstairs at quarter to one this morning for some

    Anyone tried the Banana one?

Stupid question: Does it taste much of Banana?

I'd like to get my potassium intake up and they are full of energy, but bananas make me heave real horrorshow, like. Even seeing someone eat a banana makes me gag. Started off as a texture thing and went from brown bananas to any banana to even banana flavoured stuff now, but I can drink smoothies with bananas in them if they don't taste too banananery.

Wondering if this might be an option!

I'm kind of the other way 'round. I love the taste of banana but really do hate the texture of the actual fruit, and almost gag when eating one (which is actually the main reason why I started using Malt loaf again on bike rides)
