    would be for me! :)
  • last year all i was riding at weekends were 100milers, then during the week comuting ii would do say 8miles as fast as i could to work then say 30-60 detour s home. The way i look at it is if you only do one thing you will only be good at that.

However if you do a varied riding each time you go out you will improve in all aspects.

This i proved with myself (everyone is different) that in march i would avg 15-16mph over 100miles but after a few months i was well up on on my avg over 100miles. But that all went to rat cra*p after being hit by a car. so havent really riden this due to pain etc.

Once im sorted im hoping i can get back up to or near to 20mph on all my rides. time will tell once ops are done.

I've made training simple. I dont do any

    PB'd at 10, 25 and 50 miles this season. I should write a book.
    Manchester wheelers

    PB's
    10m 20:21 2014
    25m 53:18 20:13
    50m 1:57:12 2013
    100m Yeah right.

Taking HR as gospel? Don't know how you came to that conclusion but it's not an accurate conclusion that's for sure, if I took it as gospel on the 2*20 today I'd surely be using a HR monitor??

    Because you mention HR, ALOT

Well I can assure you I don't use it as much as you think.

Just because I use it alot does not mean I train by it, yes I was using it on Tuesday, but I was not training by it I did not care what HR I was at, it was just interesting holding almost 190hr for about 25 mins.

So you were using it but not training by it? What were you using it for then?

Well I was using my eyes to look at it, to see what my HR is doing.

People can use things and not train by them....

Ant are you saying you don't do any training at all, just one TT per week?
