When I passed my test a long time ago I had a Cortina Crusader Reg no. CUM B10Y.

Young virile 18 year old that I was

A mate of mine used to have the number plate S34 CUM on his corsa. His name was Steve as well so he got plenty of stick with his plate known as Steve's 34 cum

There's a car that I pass on the morning to work with a plate that ends in YSB. You need to have a bit of mancunian humor to get it but always brings a smile to my face.

My Uncle Roger has J10 LLY on his Porsche & R10 GER on his Aston - looks great parked together.

Ther's a lawyer in Edinburgh has been 50BER for the last thirty years.

I did also remark on how suitable the registration SK51PNS was on a car that has just cut me up one time. (try saying the last three letters slowly)

I believe that BMW X5s actually come with labia as standard.

Oh yes, I was very nearly taken out (and I mean really taken out) by one yesterday. 50MPH in the outside lane while indicating left, but actually going all the way round the roundabout above the A46 was apparently a good idea. The thing was pretty much on two wheels. It had a personalised plate, it went past too fast for me to see what it was though.

There's a guy (and it will be a guy) at Chase Farm Hospital who has the plate "1 GAS" - either he's an Anaesthetist or a very committed Bristol Rovers fan

It's just a hill. Get over it.

My mate worked for Ford Direct. They had a workshop in Tilbury dock.

The manager was a bit of a nob, so they made him new plates for his car.

    'CNUT 1'

(with the U & N in the right places).

He didn't notice until the dock police stopped him on his way home.....

A chap I used to work with had P15 ORF, bought it from DVLA who had already refused to release P155 OFF and P155 ORF.......

Hmm, years ago (i.e. when P would have been new) I actually saw P155 OFF, on the back of a small Peugeot I think, J19 of the M6. Must admit I couldn't believe the DVLA had actually let it slip through the net.

    Andy

P155 OFF is on a courier's bike in London, I have a photo of it. See

I was with some mates at the time, and the guy caught me taking a photo.

    Oh forgot a good one:

C1 DER on one of the bosses cars at the Weston's factory when I visited there for a tour :-)
    I think they also had C1 DER5

C1DOR is parked down the road from me & I've seen CHE35E nearby. Years ago, I used to see DAV1D in Biggin Hill at the airfield. Was it Fiona Richmond who had FU2 on her car?

Quite often I see reg plates ending HUJ. My first language is Polish. In Polish "huj" means nothing more then "c*nt"...

No-one really - I've been a bit quiet on here for a bit as technically i'm not a commuter any more on account of not having a job (taking a 1 year sabattical 8) ). So no more Oz for now as that was work related, but have plenty other things to keep me occupied :)

I haven't read the whole thread so apologies if this has been done before but Pimlico Plumbers vans (plural) regularly spotted on CS7 all have amusing number plates along the lines of:

    - TAP5
    - L00 2 WET
    - WC summat or other
    - HA5 1EAK

and the best one i saw this very morn

    8OG

I just googled it and it's a phenomenon I tell thee
    FCN = 4
  • The Pimlico Plumber vans are amusing! Their memorable number plates are handy when you spot them on their mobile phone for example! Mr B1 DET, naughty naughty :)
