Gentlemen I feel it is time to sing the OP a song collectively to cheer him up, so here we go on the count of three, using the Hagar the Horrible Skol song as inspiration.

    1

    2

    3

NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB NOB CARRY ON UNTIL SUCH TIME AS RETURNS WITH AN INSULT.

Can someone keep an eye on twitter please just in case he sets up a fake account to have a go about us

    Smells like bullsh*t.

Yet strangely - despite the offer to forward the evidence in an earlier post re the malicious twitter account - you feel the need to comment and call me a liar effectively, rather than take up the offer!! You're not alone on that - too many are happy to be keyboard warriors rather than actually want to see some evidence!! Not one single detractor has asked!!!

Believe what you want anyway - there's enough of a growing group on the Wirral who actually know whats going on and arent so quick to assume wrongly!!

I'll leave you all to it!!

Lol, if your willing to slander a shop so much online in a public forum, then post up what you have. If your not willing to do that, your a fool.

    You posted some stuff already,

    A. It looks like you wrote that.
    B. They didn't say they were the shop, so why are you complaining about the shop.

your just making a big deal of out nothing. Slandering a shop because a single person put something on twitter, which may or may not have been said.

Your going too far, and being a giant baby.

    !

A detractor - isn't that like a Jamaican farmyard vehicle?

"No worries Ziggy, I'll get detractor out and we'll have you at da shops in no time, man…"

The shop have stopped displaying their tweets on their webpage though, which probably points to the fact that someone with a bit of sense is taking the matter seriously, so maybe that positive step from the shop should be bigged up rather than blaming all for the errors of one. By all accounts they are a decent outfit, maybe they employed one over enthusiastic nob and he/she is now being taken to task.

Nothing to do with me any of this, just hope it all gets sorted amicably, there was (probaby still is, not been in since getting home late last night) a real good vibe in the local shop with the riders who frequented it. They even formed a club and the shop had shirts printed.

Come on chaps, or I'll bang your heads together

Haha i'm afraid so Dave. At least you have the advantage (unlike everyone else on here) of knowing much of the story behind the bike in question - and know its not mine / who's it is and presumably saw the spoof account from one of the lads?? Shame they seem to be dragging loads into this now - have you fallen victim to their twitter cull yet??

Honestly, I don't know about the problems with (I presume) Shaun's bike. I didn't see any postings from the spoof account, but do know its name as it is mentioned in the timeline from other Twitter contacts.

Their Twitter account is now locked, I guess they're having a review of what happened, but they stopped following me recently for whatever reason (like is normal on Twitterland). I only realised when I tried to DM them for a price on some kit but couldn't as they're not following me.

Hopefully normal service will be shortly resumed for everyone.

I went into a bike shop once and they made me a cup of tea whilst they gave my wheel a true up. They put sugar in the tea, FFS!

I didn't have a Twitter account at the time so they were lucky.

As someone new to all this can I see if I have understood all this:

    - someone spends a lot of money on a bespoke build bike
    - It's not quite right so he keeps taking it back and gets his mate involved.
    - They hack the bike shop off and the bike shop hack them off
    - probably becomes a bit fractious
    - Some joker at the bike shop opens a spoof twitter account to take the piss out of the customer
    - customer complains to twitter and it gets shut up
    - bike shop / customer relationship becomes a bit more fractious
    - customers mate whinges on a bit about it here
    - doesn't get much sympathy and has the piss taken out of him in a gentle way
    - Is that it???

    What happens next then?

I love salty popcorn, so you've got a deal. You speaking my language as well with the southern comfort and lemonade!

As far as the road trip, either or! Don't mind!

And yeah brian, only thing that happens next, is eventually we will all get bored. That's about the only outcome of what has been in this thread haha!

Eventually was the key word

I'm patiently awaiting a response from the OP. Hopefully something interesting, along the lines of someone posted the word annoying on their twitter.
