  • Gash.

Just realised I forgot to record the Tour and I'm out tonight.

If you've got Sky, just set it through their website

That would involve having my sky box hooked up to my internet/telephone line.

and if you did, you wouldn't have this dilemma

    Indeed.

They didn't provide a phone line though.

I think the signal to record comes from the satelite not your phone line. You may have to have it connected to first register for the remote record thing. Either way, I would be trying it in your position!

My Sky box has to be plugged into the phone line or it doesn't work - presumably to communicate with them when ordering pay per view movies, updating subscriptions and stuff like that.

Indeed, pay-per-view etc stuff won't work.

    Channels and recording do.

My Sky box hasn't been plugged into the phone line since the day it was installed.

I'd love to say it's because I don't want to be monitored by the evil Murdoch empire but actually it's because there is no phone socket anywhere near it and I can't be bothered to have a try and hide a long run of cable all the way from the kitchen.

fair enough. I'm in a similar situation but opted to run a long cable round.

Back to the racing... how long before the break gets caught. Final climb I suppose?

Hmm sitting here waiting for wife to give birth. I think I need to subscribe to Eurosport player to pass the time. Also might drown out the screaming bint in the next room.

what I was saying about Bertie having friends and favours to call in..

    From Tiralongo
The Italian added that he would be at the Spaniard's disposal, even if the two are not racing for the same team anymore. "I ride for Astana, and he rides for Saxo Bank, but I remain his gregario. He always says: 'With Paolo, I have a tenth man in the race.' And it's true, I always keep an eye out for him. When I can, I help him, I protect him and I pull him to the front in the peloton."

Rojas seemed to have a mech problem at the end there. Wouldn't have affected the result though.

Rode over Horquette, albiet from the other side, on a Sportive a few years ago... really narrow and the descent is through the kind of forest you can imagine a bear emerging out of... There's a really scummy bit of road that goes up up again before you get into the forest too, was slippy with leaves and such when I rode it. Also some cattle grids

It feeds out onto the bottom of the Aspin.
