I aim to be there for about 3. I'll be on an old Marin mountain bike. Unfortunately won't be able to stay for more than a couple. As usual, my time is never my own. Looking forward to seeing Sketchleys new steed.

Nah my plan is to ride from Clapham Jct to the park perhaps a quick refreshner before a casual lap then back to the pub.

Bringing the old steel racer. 8)

Very good to meet and get to know those that were there. I got back late and used the line that it was deliberate because as a responsible parent I couldn't possibly take my daughter out having consumed beer, so had to stay and have a bit more. Fortunately I got away with it as my washing machine repair had held water so I was a white good fettling hero.
I can't make it until late August now as I'll be on holiday. Yippee!

I swung by the Roebuck at 8.30pm after a couple of impromtu laps in the park. Didn't see any obvious-looking drunk cyclists on the viewpoint, so kept on going.

I hit a kerb on the way home, bit of a wobble after a shoulder check, scuffed tyre and little chink in the rim. Stayed upright which was a bonus.

Could be a good thing Sketchley didn't have his new bike. Getting used to drops with a hangover followed by hair of the dog could have been messy.

In my defence I was 95% certain on Friday night when I started drinking that the bike wouldn't have been ready. Had I know it would be I would not of gone drinking.
