I'm sure it takes alot of time and effort to come up with an extreme colour scheme for your bikes.
But it looks like he buys things without even considering what colour they are and then throws them on, then pretends it's some kind of design.
Maybe he only seen the world in grayscale. That would drive me insane too, frankly.

looks like you took your time slowly developing the design for that hideous marin you own, or maybe you were downing can upon can of monster energy so you could try to keep up with your nocturnal feathered friends and after 30 or so cans you started hallucinating and got it into your head that everything would look nice if it matched the design of your favourite canned beverage. i bet you wear green and black y fronts. i must admit you seem to have struck it lucky with the fact that your teeth are also green and black.

Dude, what the HELL is your problem? Why are you so obsessed with owls? It's a bit rich considering you've set your location to "up the back of a chicken"

up the back of a chicken is slang for Wigan you doofus. and it seems i have hit a nerve by exposing your little owl fixation, i like anodised bike parts but i feel no shame. you like owls but you seem to be very ashamed of the fact. maybe im jealous of the affinity you have with owls. my passion for bikes runs deep but its nothing compared to the unadulterated love you have for your feather covered friends. you are to be admired, you have gone from being a deeply lonely and bitter human being to a respected member of the owl community.

denial is not a noble trait, now if you could lose some weight then maybe mating would not result in a pile of crushed owls, if you really put your mind to it you could create the first ever human/owl hybrid. just imagine a creature that could stay up all night just arguing on forums. the fat reserves the creature would have would enable it to never leave its laptop. im crossing my fingers for you yeehaaMagoo.

changing the subject from fat manically depressed forum bullies and owls back to bikes for a moment.
on my way around llandegla yesterday i found that i never shifted from my 26t front chainring, even on the faster bits i found 26t/11t gave me enough speed so with that im mind im going to switch from my current 26/36 front and 11/32 rear setups to a single ring of 29t and a 10 speed 11/36 rear cassette. i reckon this will be fine for general off road duties as i never use my mtb anywhere else.switching from a 22t granny to a 26t made a huge difference as i found myself flying up the hills rather than just sitting back and lazily spinning away. the 29t/36t combo should still get me up most climbs. by using a simple cage such as the one from superstar to keep the chain on coupled with a sram x0 or xx rear mech, a 10 spd xt cassette, 10 spd kmc chain and for the shifter im going to try out a sram flat bar 10spd double tap trigger shifter as i have one lying about doing nothing and as i love the double tap shifting on my road bike, im curious as to whether it will work off road but the shifters are really neat and simple. if it doesnt work i will just buy a suitable one. as for the chainring there are lots of single ring jobbies to choose from . this is not a weight losing exercise, it more about simplicity and boosting reliability. if i add a seat tube mounted chain cage i could also add a stinger style device for total chain security.

i know its not an xc racers set up but i found i didnt really need any more gears, if i used my bike on the road id have problems but for trail centres, rivington and the peak district i dont see me needing anymore than the 29/11 combo, it was surprising just how much i couls do with the 26t granny. my main motivation is trying the double tap trigger shifter. ive found some 10 spd x0 rear mechs for just over a hundred quid so i reckon the whole conversion will cost approx £200 as i aready have the shifter. i will nearly make that from the sale of my xtr m970 transmission.

Spintastic indeed  I've found that my 38t ring is pretty much perfect for me, got a 24t granny ring for a bail out, so might try a 35t ring with my 12-36 cassette on the maxlight, cut down abit of weight and simplicity, I'll only be using it for centres so it should be perfect, 29 sounds far too low to me tho

like ive said i got around llandega without leaving the 26t i neverdropped into the 11t either. i know llandega is pretty tight and has nowhere you can really get any serious speed. if i find im under geared i can experiment with different ratios. i do ride with quite a high cadence style so we,ll see how it pans out. due to the lack of 10 speed single rings how do you think i would go if i run a 10spd chain over a 9spd sprocket such as the gamut or renthal style ones? i know TA road rings are labelled for use with 9/10 speeds . ive wrapped a 10spd chain around a 9spd chainring and it seemed to mesh perfectly without feeling tight, so im guessing it should be ok.

I don;t think anyone would actually doubt that you made it round Llandegla without leaving your granny ring. Many would question your pace, mind.

i would have beat you due to the fact they have big wooden carved owls by the trail side and no doubt you would have to stop to cuddle them.

So, pastey_boy, why are you so much better than me ? if only i could get my sexual attraction to owls out of my head, maybe just maybe i could spend less time on this forum and more time amongst real people. no longer would i need to hide behind my keyboard, i could even find myself a nice young strapping welsh lad and we could elope to tenby.
