"[Contador] is so focused and concentrated on the job. He's the ultimate professional. I have never seen anything like it. I like riding for the guy, and he is the best. He is still a step above. Whatever opinion of the guy, I think he is still the classiest bike rider going around."

26 Year old boosts ego of the man you could say yeah or nay on his future prospects. You can't get a better endorsement than that.

like andyp, you strike me as a negative person, always picking out bad points, especially ones which arent there.

For all you know Contador will never see that quote unless he read SIdney Morning Herald on a regular basis................

Just get over it, Contador is a champion and the people that matter, (riders and those closely involved in the sport) think so too. Imagine if you could get happy over his performances - one rider who wont keep you waiting.

.........and you strike me as an incredibly naive fan boy, but we should both try to stick to subject and not analyse each other ;)
You think Team Bertie wouldn't feed back news of negative stories to him or his new friend Bjarne? Nothing goes unnoticed now. Contador is under huge scrutiny because of events over the last year, any negative comment from another rider would be seized upon and re-reported elsewhere. Of course people in cycling say nice things about him, they did the same about Lance, what does that prove? Do you know what all the champion cyclists in the last 20 years have in common? The answer to that is why I can't get excited about him winning. I'd get excited about Cadel winning, but sadly that won't happen, and I'm probably being naive there anyway.
