So as if to just finalise this whole farce, it appears they played the wrong national anthem for Bertie.

What, again?! Can't even blame Bruyneel for this one.

Contador also takes the Points jersey (a full 80 points clear), 2nd in the KOM jersey (9 points only back), 1st in Azzurri d'Italia (full 18 vs 8 in 2nd), and 1st in the Combativity award (19 points clear).

Clearly bias, showing such little respect for the One True Champion. To my mind this piece is overly favourable to the UCI. They set the initial pace of events when they didn't move forward in a proper manner, all that everyone is equal but we have to be extra careful with this one rubbish, ensuring there was no equality. They should have announced and actioned in the normal way. They allowed Contador to announce the +ive on his own terms, and immediately it moved from a straight forward +ive to a giant PR battle.

Can there be another sport where quite so many of the fans have such total contempt for so many of the participants?

    FFS, give it a rest.

From my perspective, the Giro has seemed very odd. As though some gurning spectator had decided to join in each stage on his moped, watched the suffering around him, and then scooted off in the last few kms to "claim" a win. Unreal.

Please do not bite. The man is clearly a troll with his "champion" BS so we can we not feed the troll and maybe he get bored and go and ride a bike or something.
Congrats to Scarponi on his Giro win a rider we can believe in oh wait.......dammit!
It’s the most beautiful sport in the world but it’s governed by ***ts who have turned it into a crock of ****.

Promising giros by nieve and kruiswijk too. Good to see some new talent coming through.

Also chuffed that sivtsov squeaked into the top ten for me to collect on my 7/1. I'm rich! (Ok, maybe not...)

Well, they only had 3 weeks to find the correct version, didn't they?

Contador has nine victories this season (including classification wins)

    Gilbert has also.

Those two lead above any other cyclist.

    3rd is Voeckler with 8.

I let you draw your own conclusions about various things.

Would that be the same Esperanza Aguirre who's been up to her neck in allegations of party and family corruption for the past few years? Perhaps they could share persecution stories?

They should have played 'Just Say No' by the cast of Grange Hill.

Contador has won 6 GTs. At his age Lance had won 1.

Note you nay-sayers that Contador was in the Pink jersey for over two weeks. Which means they have a serioud load of data for dope testing.
