Alex Rasmussen would have beaten Millar's time but for a flat back tyre...

Cherel with the most blatant drafting in a TT I've ever seen. Sean Kelly thinks he's bored and just wants to get home quicker.

Kelly is on form today with his pronounciations  "the finister climb"

What an underwhelming finish to a GT. Even the route is fugly compared to last year with the finish in that nice amphitheatre.

Is that a standard Cannondale Slice Nibs is on? Or is it a new model that might be released i in the future?

Speaking of which, did you see the behind-the-scenes thing with Astana before the TT started? Interesting to see Bertie being handed a bidon on the Finestre by the Astana soigneur. Favours for favours!

I see those nose plasters are back in fashion??

Thought I'd seen the last of them when Robbie Fowler retired.

    Do they really work?

Somewhat ironic that we have some picture breakup as the helicopter camera focuses on an enormous RAI TV transmitter. Story of the race...

That middle third of the course is slightly downhill... more corners from now on before the finish.

Has downing finished his first GT?

Looks like Bertie's had his steak & rice this morning!
    Going for the win.

OK, I stand corrected, at least there's a bit of ceremony for Bert at the end.

Apparently this completes his collection of TT wins in all the major tours.

    Congrats Millar.

Contador shows he is the best TT rider of the GC riders. Great win for a great Champion.

Now he has to take the Tour and Vuelta to create a legend.

    Gadret - impressive.

I saw a guy in his 60's wearing one as he plodded along in the cycle lane yesterday - triumph of marketing there...

Hats off to Millar though - he deserved that.
