As it's only been demo'd I haven't given it a decent ride yet, agree the shifters and brakes will be raised slightly...will look into the intergrated clamps...but to be honest love them the way they are...0

Thats looking proper nice!
You'll have to let us know how the forks run. I've been looking at getting some DT's but they are hard to find any reviews for.0 -
Needs bling? Fuck off, does it!

I also looked into them, £50 for the pair, as I only run a RH shifter it was a short lived thought!
Bonty rims are an unusual choice, are they Rhythms? Need to sort your tyre/valve alignment.0 -

They are actually Duster so the 32 hole version...do the job and money has getting tight !0 -
Bang tidy
I think thats a thing of beauty just as it is - Dont ruin it with too much brightly coloured bling !!!
Dont see too many Tomac's out and about, in fact I dont think Ive ever seen one around where I ride ! Enjoy0 -
Thanks for all the comments, not sure about the black bars.....thinking about changing to white, though my mates say it contrasts with the seatpost and fork stanchions ? help ??0

-
White stem perhaps ?
Then and only then would I allow you to give it to me .
I would be doing you a HUGE favour here by taking it off your hands don'tcha know .
Only out of kindness though .
Bloody nice bike tha's got thear nar go an gerrit mucky ! :P0 -
gotta keep it contrasting, white and black! not keen on too much white on bikes,
just about spot opn as it is i recon, people that know what it is will look in appreciation, those that dont know will think its just another bouncer,
is in a sense like the renault sport special editions that you could have the 'Liquid yellow' paint option on, cost a few quid more, but to the normal passer by would think nice colour, those car geeks would know its instantly a ltd edition cup model!!
kinda classy stelth if you like!!Timmo.

No it doesn't. That's why it is currently very, very, very classy.
Do NOT sully it with horrible bling things.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Well, these children, they just don't understand understated elegance.

LOL !!! to be honest it's staying blck and white (I don't like fighting)
ANYWAY.....quick update on it's first proper outing......
I have to say I am amazed by this thing compared to other bike I demo'd prior to chosing the Tomac such as Santa Cruz, Yeti and Ibis....OK I appreciate it is a tottaly different bike to the Marin with is slacker head angle but on the climbs it feels so much better and balanced due to it's longer wheel base so I don't get the light front end of the Marin....Having beeing a Fox man in the past the DT Swiss forks are a revalation...super plush and ultra ridgid, and whith thier 200 hours service interval they make sense too...if your thinking of Fox think again !
The XTR is top bollocks, seemless shiffting it's like a F1 gearbox you just don't feel the change, the brakes are awsome, great balance and modulation.
Joel at Tomac has pulled the rabbit out of the hat here with one of if not the best frames I have ever ridden...get on CRC...part with £1,150 you will not be disapointed...pud0 -
Mostly quite a nice bike, I hope you are planning on some new bars and wheels though? Preferably carbon
I got some Syncros Bulk AM 710mm bars and they are amazing, 195gr, but still stiff, smooth and wide. Planning on a set of Easton Haven carbon wheels when funds allow too.Custom 2010 Stumpjumper FSR Pro AM
