Am not as obsessed as some round here.

    But.... (and here's the killer)

I've just rented out space in our office building to a bike shop.... yeah!!!

1000 square of loveliness to browse at my leisure any day of the week.

if the bike shop has a workshop then it'll be perfect for when you need some work done. drop it in in the morning and collect in the evening.

I go through phases of very obsessed and just obsessed.

I'm currently bankrupting myself to go to Whistler in the summer.

I'm in the gym 2 night a week with fortnightly PT sessions to get as fit as possible to get back my DH bike ready for whistler.

I ride my trail bike like a man possesed even though it tried to kill me a little while back, left my laying on the trail floor bleeding out, 3 weeks in hospital, 3 operations, untold stiches, plates, screws, physio sessions etc etc Couldn't ride for 9 months and not a day went by when I didn't think about getting back on it. My GF worries endlessly when I'm riding, but bless her won't hear of me not going because she understands the sacrifices I made to do it, and aparently I'm impossible to live with if I don't get out at least once a week.

I endlessly pour over MBUK and the internet looking at new bikes and eBay looking for new ones, I have no doubt as soon as Whistler is paid for I'll be looking for a new trail bike.

I don't have the bling addiction though, my Trail bike looks a right mess, but it all works.

I don't know how obsessed I am in the scale of things but it's a pretty major part of my life, I cycle about 70 - 80 miles per week on the road commuting and try to get out for a long ride once a weekend. If I don't make it out my mood is lower.

I have sacked off all of the hobbies I had before I started MTB as I only really have time for off road riding now and so I don't play instruments, make music or play xbox any more.

But it doesn't get in the way of the things I need to do at home.

I do have a Ti wedding ring though.

I dream about riding, the ones where I'm sh!t hot are great!
I'd rather go riding by myself than hang out with my mates.
I'm seriously thinking about getting a BMX even though I'm at least 15 years older than everyone in my local skate park.
I don't watch TV anymore, just check bike (and kayak) sites.

I'm obsessed enough to despise looking out at window and being able to see for miles and miles and miles.........

I'm obssessed enough to have bought a Previa last year to sleep in at the trail head - though I had to sell it. I'm now saving to by a dedicated campervan so I can camp at the trail head in the Alps next year 8)
  • Enough that I've been an hour late to a mate's house by checking out a new trail on the way instead of going straight there.

I'm starting to realise I'm becoming a little obsessed. Ride Sunday, start thinking about the next ride Monday morning.

I ramble on various sites (PH) about the virtues of biking and giving out my limited knowledge

I used the phrase "biking is a way of life" recently.

I'm currently contemplating spending 2.5/3k on a Cube Fritzz/Hanzz - something I would have found imperceptable 2 years ago. That's more than my car is worth.

Yes; as others spend far too much time on here, Pinkbike, CRC..

"I wonder if anyone's replied to that thread yet" I think, 30 seconds after I've posted. I have to check - I get dissapointed when no one has :(

    I'll stop typing now..

It's not that I'm over over biked, my bike is under personed...

I'm bad enough that when my girlfriend is talking to me i find myself looking at my bike (which lives in our bedroom) or looking at my bike shoes or a random bike part and thinking how great they are!!

She's well aware i do it and like most of you i need to look in every bike shop at every part, and every bike that i see i need to study!!

Sadly my bike is out of action until my twisted rim is repaired :(
  • im quite obsessed, but time constraints have sorta crushed it abit, as has not owning a car and living in london, so hard to go riding anywhere good.

however i cant not look a bike shop, all the shineyness!

when bored will build up a bike on crc/oneone/merlin etc,

buy mbuk every month waiting for a good subscription gift

always kicking about on the forum

bikes worth more than car, or both computers, or games consoles and tv :/ oops,

I'm starting to realise that i am becoming pretty obsessed i had a hospital appointment today so headed into town for a bit of shopping and i knew there arn't any mountain bike shops in the town center but still felt the need to drag my dad into a specielist BMX shop just because they sell Fox clothing  Also my boss text me this morning asking if i want to sell my hardtail and even though i haven't ridden it for months i don't want to sell as it's one less bike in my house to clean at weekends :? Like i said to my boss "i want more bikes not one less" :D

  • In terms of Shimano groups sets (Altus being least obsessed, XTR being most)

    I reckon I'm about SLX :D .
