i might be about to curse teamsky now but with Thomas, Wiggins (good showing in PR '09 and TdF cobbles '10), Hayman and Flecha have one of the stronger teams here. with some lady luck they could be at the sharp end later.
or of course Wiggins could shrug shoulders and pootle, others could fall and puncture and there might be none of them......

(running around trying to find lost shoe, glancing at the 'pooter, grabbing organ music and late for Kirk.)

    Go, Georgie boy, GO.

Now, if I was a Roman Catholic, I would know who the patron saint of lost causes was and would send him or her an order by candle to blow Big George all his way to the velodrome, blessedly free from the curse of untimely mechanicals and puncturing with 500 metres to go.

    But I'm not.

OK, I'm coming, you crabbit heided sour faced craitur- haven't you even started the car up yet?

Which bike should I buy for cycling to work??

Some posters have recommended a Racer but I'm not sure how it will cope with the roads round here. Should I not go for something with suspension???

Sun's shining...out now for a ride, home for a BBQ lunch, watch Paris Roubaix then see Rory McIlroy win the Masters......life's good

Can't you get your hubbie a job in the 'service' car? I fear only divine intervention will keep Cancellara from taking the hell of the north.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Wiggins in the break. He obviously isn't planning on challenging for the race then.

I thought George had his chance with a young Tommeke to assist him and then fell off without a mechy.
I have been a big fan of Georgy Boy and was estatic with his GW win and I'm still laughing about his MTF win as the most unlikely thing I ever expected, "BUT" now.???????????

The Flanders win by Nuyens seemed to me to be the guy who "Most Wanted" the Win.
I have picked the Mighty Thor because he is the one that "Most Wants" this race.

He wins a World Championship and all he wants to talk about is Roubaix.
He had a good chance before he mis-judged the corner at Carrefour de l'Arbre two years ago and the confidence that gives him now.

Spartacus caught them all with their trousers down last year and that won't happen again.

He said a couple of days back that the plan was for him to get in the early break. Sounds like it's all over now.

St Jude. Also patron saint of the Chicago Police, which may have been mentioned by Sir Sean in the Untouchables.

He does it a lot. It's pretty weird.

I know Kelly always goes on about how each bike, however similar they're put together always feels a little different.

    Looks quite windy!

Maybe it's because he's so heavy, weighing in at 90 odd kg  < gets more punctures. :P

Might have forgotten his number. Often #9 or #0 are spare numbers...
