    El Pistolero is back.

    cat-al.jpg

Trouble is, now whenever he shoots that little gun of his, he gets a BULLS eye.
He certainly looks to have beefed up over the winter, too.
Clen certainly does what it says on the packet.

Obtuse disregard for the greatest talent is an example of shortsightedness, closed mindedness and a lack of intelligence.

It was and still is very funny watching the futility of your words.

Attacking just after 5kms out. The climb wasn't steep enough but he still managed to distance them.

“My team has done extraordinary work since kilometer 1, we took responsibility because we knew that nobody was going to help us. I’m very happy, because it’s a complicated climb and you had to know which way the wind was blowing. At five kilometers from the finish there were still 50 riders left, so I knew that that was the hardest part, so I attacked, then Leipheimer came back up and I attacked again and got to the finish line.”

Glad to see Contador winning whilst he can. Winning races like this is a sure sign he's not confident on having a full season without a big lay off in the near future.
He's the only guy in form; if he doesn't get banned then he'll be too stuffed for the Giro unless he's....

AC has all the right "moo"ves and certainly "cows" to no one and with this top form he is definetly "milking it". What a winner; best in Show I would say!

Bertie can win races all he likes because I'm sure he'll stripped of these titles once the appeal is heard.

Wrong on two counts. One, he is most out of form, not having being able to train as well with all this rubbish then not having raced as much or in harder races (TA, PN etc). Two, he is doing what he does every year - win early season races. Nothing new there. Like previous years he will ride aggressively, and win small races and the biggest races, just as a true Champion should, just as a top GC rider should (note that Basso, Scarponi, Evans to name a few are riding at the front end so far this year, unlike some others....)

Of course not, I am a trader not a programmer/developer/quant.

Markets are really slow this week as I am sure you have noticed especially compared to last week which as you know was crazy.

cant get excited at seeing Contador win a stage - seems a hollow one to me - Pettachi's sprint was exciting, but not Bertie during his stay of execution

Out of form? This time last year?
This time last year he was plodding up the Col d'Oespedale and getting hammered on a mountain by the likes of Perrrick Fedrigo.
Yesterday, he's off the launch pad just as soon as the road ramps up. Taking 23 seconds from Michele Scarponi, who on Saturday was close to matching Motorbike Marco's record time up the Cipressa.

Bruyneel less Astana to Riis Bank. No wonder this sport is full of cynics.

Seriously, you have to be kidding me. Go and look at his palmares for early season going back. Wins all over the place. I would post it up but will let you see for yourself. Lol.

3 days in Corsica when he had an allergy is not a good way to judge form. Oh, but even then he finished 15th. Lol again.

If you can't understand why he wouldn't be in the same form now as in previous years there is little I can do to explain. It really is very easy.

What is happening about his case?

The results of this race could be seeing some serious rewriting.

    Nothing at all....

Well apart from winning the Tour of Lombardy (x3), Amstel Gold Race, Giro Del Trentino (x3), Coppi e Bartali (x2). Oh and just the two Vuelta stages and the White Jersey at the Tour.

Give 'the kid' a break, he has long-since admitted he isn't GT GC material, given the strength in depth of the competition these days.

Am I a little confused as AC had contaminated meat and traces of some kind of plastic as well. Did that mean he was eating Beef and Onion Pies and forgot to take the plastic wrapper off the pie which led to the traces of plastic in his blood. I think I need some answers here. :?

Basso has targetted the Volta and has been hammered by an out of form AC; AC is on form for sure.

Come on lets be nice. FF is a class act and we all like to have a bit of a Jolly.
I have indeed mentioned that i think FF is AC's Mum at one point but I do have a great appreciation for FF's comments. Always good value.
If FF was to ever leave this forum it would be a hell of a lot more boring.
Keep it up FF!! Awaiting your next entertaining blast of dialogue; could be another hum dinger!! Yehah!!

Apparently there's still a race going on somewhere in Spain. Dumoulin won today's stage.

Meh, I like Contador. Obv he d0pes - he's a professional cyclist - but unlike pretty much any GT rider of the last 20 years he rides every race to win. If I wanted to watch clean sport I'd watch, er, tennis - no, er... football - no, er... um... amateur cycling in the UK - oh godammit.

It really is time people grew up. If taking drugs was the difference between eeking out a living as a 2nd tier professional struggling to find a contract every year and winning the TdF and having bucketloads of cash and untold glory, you'd dope too. Christ, the only reason I don't is because I'm too sh!t and the risks outweigh the rewards.

I can't seem to get excited about this one, apart from stage 3 the parcours doesn't seem to be giving rise to very much exciting racing. Having the queen stage so early in the race and no TT or prologue has turned it into a procession.
