  • Gears are good too...... Looks like you are on the "cusp" of either size frame with your height, but your inside leg looks as though (as you have already realised) you would be better suited to the 18". I was in a similar position recently with an18" frame and a piece of scaffolding for a seat post as well. Ive moved up to a 19.5" and immediately felt at home.
Do you visit Singletrack World forum at all, as there are a lot of On One owners on there? :)
    Ohhhhhhh bugger.

    anyone wanna swap a 16" for a 18"???
I think their enginering rulers are broken. It was quite common in college to slice a few mm off the end of a ruler, leaving it looking fine at a casual glance, uintil nothing measured up properly for the poor sod

Anwyay, 26" wheels, right? that bb-top tube looks at longest, about the same as the radius of the wheel, which is 13".
    What gives?

I haven't, as it's blocked at work, but may pop accross when I get home. The "plan" is to buy a full susser anyway, sell this and enjoy comfort 29ering again.

I'm sure he means a full suzzer, but with 29er wheels!
That also gives me a plan for my next project! :P

Yes a full sus 29er! Been trying to find a rumblefish GF but no one stocks them, they don't demo them so how you meant to try it put for size?
Loads more options now since I first started looking, the spesh FSR stumpjumper, the epic and now Santa cruz all float my boat, I did go down the route of looking at the rocky mountain but got no where from the uk supplier, they wont get my business! And there's also a Norco Shinobi that looks like a all mountain beast that I would love but is it too big? And the same applies, can't look at one to try one!
I think I'll end up buying blind?

I'd be damned if I'd want to reach down between my legs to "squeak my bell" whilst out riding!! :?

    I like bikes and stuff
  • Hey joshtp, don't inflate his ego any more please? You will only encourage him to start another (drawn out over a number of weeks) project that will keep people on the edge of their lap tops.
